Yo what up CrazyGamers? CrazyChristopher here giving you the method of an unused type combination. Now notice how GameFreak makes new dual typed combinations and I have as well playing these games. Note that it will work for future titles as well. So here is what you will need:

List

1. Pumpkaboo (or Gourgeist)

2. Any Pokémon with a Fighting type move

Here's how to go to a tedious method, well not necessarily but you get the idea:

Steps

1. Play up to a certain part of the game. Upon starting a new game, you will have to get the first five badges because to get to your next destination, you have to beat Clemont and obtain the Voltage Badge.

2. Catch a Pumpkaboo at Route 16. Pumpkaboo has the signature move Trick-or-Treat, which works depending on the typing of the opposing target. If the Pokémon is a pure type, it adds the Ghost typing next to it but if that target Pokémon is a dual typed used by the effect of Forest's Curse, it becomes the Ghost type.

3. Find and capture a Fighting type Pokémon, or any Pokémon that can learning Fighting type moves. Pancham is a very good example. It's located in Route 5 between Lumiose City and Camphier Town.

4. Find a suitable test subject. What you need is a pure Normal typed Pokémon and here's why. Normal is immune to Ghost and weak to Fighting. So here's how you need to do in the next step.

5. Battle the target and perform the trick. First you need to find a pure Normal Pokémon as it only has one weakness being Fighting. There is a Bunnelby in Route 2. Because Bunnelby doesn't become a dual typed Pokémon normally until it evolves, you can use it. Send out Pumpkaboo and use Trick-or-Treat on the Bunnelby. Notice that it's a Normal/Ghost type now because Trick-or-Treat adds the Ghost typing onto Bunnelby. When Bunnelby attacks, first use a Ghost typed move. Notice how Ghost doesn't work on Bunnelby because it's still a Normal typed Pokémon. Up next, send out a Fighting typed Pokémon and attempt a Fighting move. Again the Bunnelby becomes immune to it because it's now a secondary Ghost type thanks to Trick-or-Treat and voila.

Notice by giving you these steps, I have created the perfect type combination that makes it slightly invincible and I said slightly invincible because the Normal/Ghost type only has one weakness being the Dark type. By using Trick-or-Treat on a pure Normal typed Pokémon like Bunnelby makes it still immune to Ghost but now it's also immune to Normal and Fighting because of the addition of the Ghost typing. That leaves the Dark typing being it's sole weakness due to it's relationship with the Ghost type since Generation 2. Feel free to share this and Happy Gaming!
