Date of Question: Aug 17 2008 | Question ID: 127297 I saw a crossbow in the beginning of the game before gameplay actually started, and I was wondering if you are able to get it in the game and how. I have already beaten the game but would like to find out how to get it if possible. Thanks

No you can't get the crossbow
In my opinion I don't think there was much variation in weapons in assassins creed, sorry no crossbow lol.

Yeah, I was disapointed to find out that you're unable to get the crossbow also, but as far as I'm aware the only range weapon iss the throwing knives.

You can't get a crossbow. It has been replaced by throwing knives because assassin's usually don't use a crossbow. The scene is made one year before the game they replaced it because crossbow need reloading and it will become too easy if you a crossbow.
