The classic Assault Rifle of the Halo series. Classic, yet always being redone to change damage and fire. Honestly, I can't remember seeing too many of these throughout the campaign, though it is a good weapon to have. Will take out a good few enemies before needing to be reloaded. Damage is decent.
Advantages: Has a high rate of fire and ammo is plentiful. Added with the high rate of fire, it can be used to deadly advantages on your side. With the somewhat large clip, it can be used to spray down a few enemies before needing to be reloaded, even though reloading doesn't take up all that much time.
Disadvantages: It lacks the penetration power to produce headshots, and can only be used to wear down the health of enemies. Its zoom feature is a bit off, meaning it's basically useless in combat situations. It doesn't have an incredibly high damage inflicting rate.
Suggestions: It is a good weapon, but not the greatest. Use it if it's what you fancy, but if possible, switch to a weapon where you can give accurate headshots. This is mainly just a grunt and jackle killer, along with the occasional power armor destroyer.
Some may know this as the silenced pistol that comes as a sidearm to most ODST. A great weapon to have at the start of any mission, and widely used throughout the game. Stuck somewhere between offensive and defensive on weapon type, it can easily be used to pick off a pack of Grunts or Brutes from a distance. Use it.
Advantages: It has a silencer system on the front of it, meaning each shot won't ring out and draw a lot of attention. It has a high rate of fire and a somewhat large clip (12 rounds). The x4 scope on it can also help along side it's increased accuracy to kill from a distance.
Disadvantages: It has a low to medium damage rating and can still be somewhat inaccurate in it's standard non zoomed mode. It also fails to produce much of a result against enemies with shields or power armor. Using this in close quarters is a bad idea unless you can immediately take out enemies with headshots.
Suggestions:: Use at the beginning of any game when you first get it, but it's highly suggested that you swap it out with a weapon that can do more damage with greater accuracy. Only rely on this throughout any game if absolutely necessary.
More commonly known as the Machine Gun Turret. It can be found in a few select locations throughout the game, along with being mounted on some vehicles as a form of defense. It has a high rate of fire and can inflict serious damage if aimed correctly. Use it to your advantage if you can.
Advantages: It can deal heavy damage and destroy teams of enemies with it's high rate of fire. It is somewhat common throughout the game, and can be torn away from a stand to use as a portable weapon.
Disadvantages: It has a limited amount of ammo when torn away from it's stand and slows down any character using it. If left in stationary form, there is a high chance of any operator getting flanked.
Suggestions: Use on vehicle whenever someone else can drive well. If you're using the stationary form mounted on the ground, only use it when the enemies are far off or there's little chance of you getting surrounded. If enemies are close by, detach and then use.
through out the city there is reckage of vehicles all over the place.but i found two mongooses that still work.ok,after you complete the mission with mickey,(i dont remember the mission name, sorry)look north on your map and youll see a supply stash.go for it and inside youll find two working mongooses.i would post more on where to find vehicles but i just got past the same mission so i dont know much past that point.
Here is the stuff your going to need: elephant(of course) 16 fushion coil 8 plasma batteries
First you go to forge then you go to the elephant and place the 16 fushion coil and 8 plasma baterries on the front of the lower level of the elephant.
Then you put 2 banshee in the back (for more fire power). then you go to fushion coils summary and put minimum something on 16 and plasma batteries on 8 minimum. finally get a guass warthog and place it anywhere to where you can see the batteries and coil then keep shooting and don't stop until it starts to fly. (i've had it fly for about an hour. it looks cool.)
On the level 'Uplift Reserve' on the area after the ridge covered with Shades you will find a giant covenant platform. Behind this platform is a little cover spot with a few marines a warthog and a injured marine talking to another marine. I won't spoil it for those who haven't heard it so go look for youself.
