How do you get by the big fat guy with the gun on level 3, on top of the air ship..
I have tried everything...please help

O.k, wait till he starts to charge his gun, then use flying swallow(jump towards him, press Y) and quickly roll away from him because he will either try to hit or grab you.
He'll keep charging his gun, so just repeat the process.
You can also use the fire wheels ninpo to do better damage.
