They are called Hinkypunks.
Don't bother to fight them when they are swinging their lanterns and lodging fireballs at you, just dance around to dodge them.
Then, try to corner one or more so they can't hop away or just catch them when they are not moving.
Use the Lumos spell to mesmerize them and turn them into zombies, then finish them off with flippendo (quickly!).
