Question for Halo 2

The other day I picked up the first skull (the one near the monorail that makes covenant easier to kill) but I don't know if it is working. My question is does something appear in your profile to say that you have picked a skull?

Also once you pick up a skull do you have to keep hold of it till the end of the level or can you throw it away and still have it work?

For one thing, that skull doesn't make Covenant easier to kill; it tells them where you are at all times. You can throw a skull away and the effect still be on until the end of the level (I think) or you get another skull.

Sorry about getting what the skull did wrong but that's what a book I had said it did (I may have read it wrong though, it wouldn't have been the first time)

Once you have picked up a skull it is pointless to hold on to.

You can throw it down whenever and still have the powers the skull gave you. Those powers will last until you turn off your Xbox.

And turning off your Xbox is the only way to get rid of the skull powers.

Sorry, I got what the skull did wrong. A book I had said that this was what it did, but it actually makes enemies know where you are all the time ( I think this is true, but as you have seen I am not very sure about these things).

It doesn't make the covenent easier to kill it makes the grunts and elites be at their highest difficulty which is white armor.

When you pick it up the word thunderstorm will appear in the upper left hand corner of the screen and it stays on untill you pick up another skull or shut off your X-box.
