Question for The Sims 3

Can you get by the fire code thing and buy big houses? I don't understand how you are able to buy big houses without having anywhere to put them. Been trying to get that gothic house or the eco one. They look sweet. Another thing: can you buy other people's houses from them on the sims3 for wii?

I've read a bunch of websites. There is only one way, which personally, I have another method to. Restart the game, and buy the empty lot. Buy a fridge. Then, go to the grocery store, and buy 100 3 Star GOLDFISH. Not Catfish. I accidentally bought 1 Goldfish when I was buying the Catfish. The Catfish didn't work, so I wasted about 1,000 Simoleans. But, the Goldfish have a sell back price of 17,000. Put them in your fridge, wait about 30 seconds, (30 Minutes in Sim time) and go back to the store. Sell ALL of them back. You will end up having 999,999 which never runs out. Sell the fridge, and there will be no Fire Code. Sorry if this doesn't work, I haven't tried it, I've been researching what to do since my Sim had twins, and I don't want my Sims to die in a fire like they did on my last account. ~Daphne
