How do you sprint on Black Ops? Can't cross the catwalk.

Hold down your movement button to sprint.

I can't either. New controller, uninstalled then installed again, switched button layout. Controller works fine on other games. Annoying as all heck. Looked everywhere online and there's no fix for this and the activision website is completely horrible, just sends you in loops.
