Introduction

Another installment in the Super Smash Bros. Series. This could be the Wii's best game of 2008. There are various ways to play this game.
Singleplayer or two player:
Classic-you defeat foes over and over until you get to the final boss.
Adventure-The Subspace Emissary. Like a campaign mode.
Event-you must complete a specific objective.
Stadium-play minigames and challenge your own records.
Multiplayer:
Brawl-you brawl with up to four characters. If you don't have enough people, you can also use CPUs.
Rotation-used for five or more players. Just like Brawl, except you rotate players.
Tourney-Up to 32 players can compete in a tournament.
Those are just some of the ways you can play this game, there are also others.

WIFI is also available for this game. This brings more excitement everytime you play.

During gameplay, you can pause the game and take a snapshot of the field, a really cool tool to capture those moments when you unleash your devastating attack.

There are customizable options, there's a vault to view trophies, snapshots, etc.

Graphics

Even though this is a Wii game, the graphics are really good.

The characters are flawless. There are characters from really old games that have been remastered and look like they are from a game in this generation. The items are all 3D now, and the stages are almost completely 3D.

When you are in the snapshot pause menu, you can't rotate the camera in a complete circle, only half of one.

There are few graphics glitches. The glitches that are there are hardly noticeable. The backgrounds for all the stages are awesome.

The bosses in the game are just amazing. They are in complete 3D and are flawless.

There are a few other things in the game that could have been 3D, but they are small things and aren't very noticeable.

Sound

Each stage has great sound, and each stage has customizable sound. The sound effects matched the game perfectly. When you get knocked off stage, it makes a siren type noise that is very helpful if you aren't paying full attention.

The sound effects are in sync to what happens during the game. The background music goes right along with the stage. You can customize the background music to whatever you prefer.

There are a few glitches in the sound, only slightly noticeable, but still noticeable. Not enough glitches to lower the score of the sound though.

Gameplay

The storymode is awesome. You can play it for hours and hours. It's nice and long and never gets boring. There are about 30 characters, each with different moves and abilities.

The other game modes are awesome. You can make your own stages and play on them (but not online).

Online play was virtually lag free. You can copy stages, replays, and snapshots from other players. You can use any character that you unlocked. You had different ways of playing with friends. The graphics were slightly reduced online and at times it would lag a lot. You always play with a total of four characters.

A really great thing about this game is the ability to customize the controls. If you don't like the default controls, you can change them to however you like. You can switch the jump and shield commands, switch the taunt commands, etc.

Lastability

You have a great story mode that you can play over and over.
You have a ton of other great modes like regular brawl that you never get tired of.
You have WIFI which is never boring, always new challenges.
You have about 30 characters that you can learn the strengths and weaknesses.
This game can never get boring, each time you play, your enemies fight differently. You can play this game for years and years.

Overall

Overall....this game just can't be beat.
You find yourself constantly playing it, trying to unlock any secrets that haven't been discovered yet.
You study each characters' weaknesses and strengths, trying to find out the easiest way to beat them.

Final Score: 98%
