Thank you for reading my review, or thanks for starting to read it, as I am writing this at the begining so you havn't seen anything yet.
I will try and explain each section as best as I can through mainly experience from playing the game, and comparing to the other Grand Theft Auto games.
(please rate this after youv'e read it)
The graphics, what can I say, somewhat poor.
The fingers of the people are stuck together.
The mouth simply opens and closes when the characteras are talking.
When in a car, of you aim so that your at the front of the car, and press R2, the character beside you doesnt move when talking, or doing anything (exept when they are shooting).
Thw characters in the back move when you turn, if you hold L2 and R2 whilst swerving, you see them sliding about in the car.
The plants could have been better, as they look like paper.
Your clothes have been soldered to you, so it looks like your chest has clothes sprouting from it.
Everything else however, the graphics are immense for a game of that size, considering what console it's on.
Vice city has better graphics, as the game map is smaller, so more of the memory can be spent on the graphics, but the graphics overal are nothing to be ashamed of.
Sound? I can't really say much about the sound.
The voices match the character perfectly, and by this I don't mean the mouth moving, I mean by the characters appearence, and background.
The sound for an explosion, however could have been better, as it doesnt really soudnd like an explosion.
AMAZING is all I can say.
The controls are easy to handle, the missions are full of suspense and action (although the fact you can outrun and remove cops so easily is a bit odd, but people would compalin otherwise), I was really suprised at the end with more missions on Los Santos, I thought las venturas would be the end, as with most GTA games theres a section of missions on each island.
I also love the added bikes and BMX's, without them I wouldnt have bought SA.
I prefer them to any otheer vehicle, especially with massive bunny hops cheat on ^_^
Theres a huge variety of missions aswell, it's not all 'run to X kill X and go back to Z', theres missions on all terrains doing all kinds of crazy things.
An extra feature is the stats you have to raise.
Muscle makes you stronger, you need fat (better to have a medium amount so you don't starve) you have to upgrade your stamina, lung capacity, and theres even loads of clothes shops to visit, soyou cna look exactly how you want to look, this is the first time rockstar have done this, and I'm truly grateful.
Ive been playing this game since I got it 4 years ago, I never get bored of it.
There is so much to do, it's incredible.
I completed the story missions wihthin a week, but Ive taken ages to find all the tags, snapshot,s horseshoes and oysters, and thats just the usual GTA attire.
Theres also hundreds of extra races to do, unique stunts to find, many of them being crazy and stupid, but thats half the fun.
The fact that theres so amny cheats and mods available for this game makes it even more fun. Most of the chheats effect out of mission play, like flying cars, and massive bunny hops, which don't really jhelp in missions, but make mindlessly exploring that little bit more fun.
Long live rockstar.
Theyve brought some of the best game ever made.
San andreas being the best PS2 game I've ever played, and the best GTA game so far, GTA4 has a lot to live up to expectations if it's to beat this.
I'll be playing SA for a long time, and hopefully I'll be getting multiplayer for the PC soon (yeah, multiplayer) so I can explore SA online with others.
I would have happily pay £100 for this game if thats how much it had cost at launch.
Also, thanks for reading, hope this gives you a better understanding of a truly astonishing game.
