Super Smash Bros. Melee is the game that came out as the next generation of Super Smash Bros. For the Nintendo64. It is basically an action game designed for different Nintendo stars to fight each other. Examples are the classic mario borthers, to link and zelda. Some new characters such as Marth and Roy. You can choose to fight another person in real life, or a CPU in the classic mode, or new ADVENTURE mode. There are also many unlockables such as new trophies, stages (i.e: yoshi's story, past stages), and characters (Falco).
The graphics are well done and all, there are basically no glitches. But, the entire thing is 2-D, so you can only move side to side. But I believe the graphics can be better if the producers really tried. Overall, the graphics aren't bad at all, but there isn't much to say in this area.
The sounds are really cool, and sound very realistic in some parts, and un-realistic where they need to. The music is classic from each individual video game, and you can even change it up with a little press of a button. Sound is one of the best things I find with this game.
This is probably one of the most fun games out there when it's new (like any other game), to most people. I really don't see the point in fighting, then starting voer again (but it is quite entertaining, to tell the truth). The are many choices in the game such as playing as over 10 different characters, on over 20 differrent stages.
The game does not stands very long without boring you. Unless you ghave a friend with you, I think the game is quite boring, even if there is a one-player section. It was built for multi-player, and that may get quite dull at time (seeing that all you do is fight, knock each other off the stage, and restart), so the lastability isn't that well-done.
The game is quite well-made, and one of the best nintendo action games out there for you to play. There are many improvements that can be made (such as adding a 3-D effect). They should also add story modes, that way you can obtain new characters, etc in that sense). I reccomend getting it, if you really want to see some fighting.
