Finally got past the earth digger with the green poisonous smog.. a lot of running backwards and forwards to avoid choking, it took ages to get past that beast. Anyway, finally we're on the way up and out into the cold air of Paris. The way up is fairly easy, I had no great problems except the very last part. There seems to be more than enough energy/life cells around and more ammo than you know what to do with. Makes a change. Flying robots and chimera, not too hard to kill either. Look for some intell on a ledge you have to cross a narrow bridge. Don't use the same palm device twice it will just take you back the way you came, you need to go up and out.

The last step, you're at the center and about to get out... You have 2 machine gun chimera and a machine in front of you.OK, get your shotgun, then run at the dude to your right, (that's were the ammo is you're gonna need for the machine.)The kill the chimera while on the move and hide behind a stone pedestal, NOT the low wall things.Behind the tall wall is a life recharger , machine gun ammo and auger ammo. Use what Lark ammo you have on the machine, take out the other chimera using the machine gun and cover from the shield (L button of machine gun)... then the auger and machine gun will take out the machine eventually.. just keep moving to the left and right behind the wall and avoid it's gun, or else you die. After a few attempts you'll get it...It's best to hit the machine from behind if you can do it, it dies faster that way.

and finally you're out. Yeay! upinto snowy Paris and on to the Crysallys lair. You're in a hammer (big 2 legged machine,like the one you just just killed off)..

The first few chimera and gorilla's are fairly easy to kill, then you get to a gated area, this is more challenging.

You have several Chimera on the ground, one blast from the cannon (L button) will take out 3 or 4 at once, The robots in the air need machine gun treatment

then once that lot is gone 2 gorillas appear on the left ramparts... Take them out by hiding behind the middle structure and shooting, they are terrible shots and you can dodge their blasts. When they are gone a big plane will fly over head. It's not over yet,

if you're facing the 2 gorillas, turn to your left and more bad guys appear. I moved around to the right of the central structure and hid behind it, furthest away from the opponents, then took out the Chimera with big machine guns and 3 gorillas...

again you can dodge the blasts and hide behind that central structure...NOT TOO BAD. Then there's a check point..your way forward will be to the right of where the 3 gorillas were... towards the tall black tower which is the Crysallis lair.. (compared to the catacombs this is easy )... so far.... 2 B continued...
