Inside the Lair

You'll get a new weapon razor, and get attacked by

a gorilla and some chimera and a gun turret. You can break the ice with the switch at the end of the pathway... as soon as you hit the switch though you'll be attacked again by 2 r 3 Chimera. IF you're collecting intel, you passed one next to a frozen pool. You can get it by swimming under the ice (watch for the mines) and shooting the machanical object with a round white ball on top... that operates another ice breaker, you'll see the opening, go and catch your breath and get the intell. Then swim back to the first opening, catch your breath and swim down and into a tunnel... which takes you inside the Lair.

You';ll be met by more chimera of course and a gorilla.

Go forward and turn right, there you'll be met by flying drones and more Chimera, there's a machine gun here you can use if you want to.

Then on through the opening and find Mallery standing on a balcony.

He isn't quite himself anymore having become half chimera with the glowing yellow eyes. There is some intel. under his position. There are 3 switches/green glowing panels, in front of him on ground level.

You have to stun him 3 times, each time you will be able to operate one switch which lower sections of a ramp/bridge to Mallery's location. Each time you pull a switch though, flying drone attack you. After the 3rd one, stun Mallery one more time then run up the bridge/ramp and kill him by snapping his neck. Grab his new auger weapon. That felt good! he was a pain.

Now on through the organic looking tunnel to the lift.. more boilers and chimera, the lift shaft has more dangers, look above you and see the ledges, each ledge invites attack from more chimera.

Then you're on a platform with a gorilla/titan and more boilers. Kill them off and then on through the organic tunnel to the another chamber. There are two really big floating spiders

in here and carriers floating in the background. The spiders cough up poisonous gas... the further back you are the easier it is to avoid the gas. Kill those off, keep moving around to avoid the gas. Then Grayson will take a ride on a carrier to the upper level.

On through an organic looking tunnel into the mother

chamber... which is full of some weird fluid you can breath. There are some nasty mermaids in here to kill off and some switches to throw, then a really big fish monster shows up who tries to eat you. After dealing with them, Garyson swims up to a big "Heart"/Chrysalis looking thing and injects it with serum, the liquid drains off and that's when the alien Raine appears out of the Chrysalis/heart. She has a nasty scream (sonic blast) and after throwing a switch (which blasts her with a laser and lowers her shield) she will start to throw lightening bolts at you... you cannot shield yourself from these so just run. After the laser blast you can attack her for a few seconds until her shield comes back on. Then just run around and look for another green switch. After the first switch flying drones will attack, and the second switch same thing. The third switch and you get 2 gorillas/titans which come at you from opposite directions, so take one first then turn , shield up, and back away from the second which will be near you by then. Then kill off the 2nd titan and go after the alien Raine...she will eventually drop and you;ll see the end of story clips.
