Tail end of the Catacombs... Temple and hole in the ground

OK.. finally got past the chamber with the monkeys and big gorilla and 2 chimera.. and followed Mallory into the temple. Commentary (I think that's Parker's British accent)... finally a save point.

So now you're inside the temple on a balcony and guess what more of those bloody chimps! don't use your chain gun or Lark ammo you;ll need those for the big gorilla that comes next. You'll havew to get rid of the monkeys with your razor and far eye weapon. It's tough but doable. The there's a check point thank goodness!

Then the big gorilla comes, you can dispose of him with 3 Larks' the rest of your chin gun ammo and a few razor blasts, his "et pack" catches on fire and he blows up, but very conveniently blows up the wall first so you can climb down. Very decent of him.

THere's some ammo to pick up and some life rechargers.

As soon as you approach the water 3 robots will fly out at you, the shot gun deals well with them, if you hide behind the short wall.

There are more life rechargers under the water and a

intell near a gargoyle. Find the slanted rock and climb up that to the other side. Pick up a life recharger (whenyou need it) and some shot gun ammo.. there's a chiera waiting for you around the corner so watch out.. and there's 4 or 5 more around the next corner and a big boy in armor with a crazy machine gun.

Use your razor and far eye to take these guys out... there's a some auger ammo which will help with the big boy. When they're finally gone you're gonna have to explore a bit cos there's more intel in the water on the other side of some rubble and hall way...

you may drown in the attempt to fetch it though.

The green light has a switch for the force field entrance... 3 more monkeys and 2 chimera later you're in a round doorway... there are several flying robots on the other side.. easy to take out if you move back and forth to open the doorway and use it for protection...

I hthnk that's when I went down in a lift and there was a check point (NO SAVE though... the last save was last time Parker spoke to you in the temple on the balcony remember before the monkeys!!).

you kill a bunch of chimera manning machine guns...

you make you way down to that platform, then they will run up walkways towards you and you kill those off too... there's a usable machine gun,

but I preferred to use the machine gun with its force shield (L button is force shield for the machine gun).

Checkpoint when all are dead... still no save!!

Then finally you get to a spot where a big earth mover makes a hole in the wall in front of you...

3 chimera come out and you kill those fairly easily,

there is more chain gun ammo in the cave and lark ammo under the staircase and in the cave made by the earth digger... follow the earth digger and destroy it...

there's loads of chimera in there and once the machine moves back once 3 flying robots come at you, easy to take out with machine gun or shot gun...

now it's at this point, when I'm about to kill the earth digger the smallest slither of red light on it's charge display, when I'm gassed and die..

and I try to repeat that section a few times and fail (the green gass keeps getting me ) and then guess what... the weapons freeze up again...

they have ammo but just don't work.. you can't change weapons.. nothing works... and the only way to get your weapons back is to switch off the psp, and then you loose everything since the last save... you're forced to repeat the whole journey all the way back from the last save point... yup, way back in the temple with the freakin' monkeys.

Bend guys if you're out there!! this is getting really old. Just let people save the damn game already, it's no fun repeating these parts all over... I just want to hear the rest of the story and see the graphics... is that too much to ask??? why are you doing this ? to make the game as tedious as humanly possible or what? I hate this crap. It's boring redoing the same stages over and over..

The good news is from now on, most of the graphics are available on utube if you don't want to waste more time on it... so I already know how it ends.. I may not bother anymore.

When the guys at Bend Co. make an update of the game with save features let me know might want to finish it then.
