Henry Townsend is a simple guy who moved into South Ashfield Heights two years ago, specifically Room 302. 
For a time he was happy living there, until five days ago when the nightmares first started to occur. 
Henry would dream that his apartment was in a filthy state, with monsters coming out of the walls and everything covered in blood and rust. 
Then he woke up to discover that his door had been chained up from the inside. 
Unable to leave his room, Henry tries calling out to people on the outside of the door but they can�t seem to hear him. 
The only way out of there is through the large hole in his bathroom wall. 
But where does it lead? 
And why is that happening?

Hopefully this walkthrough will help you through certain parts of the game. Enjoy! 

*THE ROOM . . . . . . . [03.01]

Walk over to the door. You�ll hear a scream as you do but just ignore it. 
Examine everything you can in the living area and kitchen. 
Walk over to the wall next to the couch and you�ll see a face in the wall. Walk back to your bedroom and a scene will occur. 
After this you�ll find yourself back in your bedroom, only it�s daytime and everything is fine again. 
Go out of the bedroom and walk over to your front door. After the scenes, turn and walk over to the window. 
You should notice something sticking out from behind the shelf. Pick it up and read it. 
Then, get the note from under your door. Look out of the window. E
xamine other parts of the room and soon you will her a loud crash coming from down the hall. 
Go to investigate in the bathroom, the door opposite your bedroom door. 
Inside, you�ll discover a hole in the wall. Take the STEEL PIPE. Enter the hole.

*SUBWAY. . . . . . . . . [03.02]

After the scene ends, run all the way down the hall and you�ll see a woman standing there. 
Walk up to her and a scene will occur. After this, she will accompany you. 
Walk around the corner and run down the hall for another scene. 
Kill the dogs with your steel pipe and follow Cynthia into the girls bathroom. 
She�s not there anymore, how strange. Enter the hole in here, to be transported back to the room.

*THE ROOM. . . . . . . . [03.03]

Go out and head into the living area. Examine the shelf next to the kitchen to see that it has been moved. 
Move it to find the PISTOL on the floor. Read the writing on the wall if you want. 
Look through the hole in the wall. After doing so you�ll hear the phone starting to ring. 
Go into your bedroom and answer it. Then go out and look through the peephole. 
Use the red book on the table near the window to save your game. 
Go back into the bathroom and return to the Subway world. 

*SUBWAY. . . . . . . . . [03.04]

Examine the mannequin to receive the LYNCH STREET LINE COIN. Leave and go left. 
Kill the dog enemy and approach the turnstile on the left. Use the coins to get inside and then go down the stairs. 
After the scene, run past the ghosts and down the stairs. You�ll hear a voice now. 
Run left and you�ll discover Cynthia trapped in the subway train. 
Keep going left until you reach the end of the train and go through the last door on the train. 
Press the red button here and leave, Cynthia will be freed now and following you around again. 
Run back to where she was before and the door will be open. 
Go inside and go through the door on the right, then up and left. Ignore the box here and go north. 
Keep going north and through the north door. Make a right in this car and you�ll be out of the subway car. 
Head through the door on the right, go down and through the door at the bottom. 
Then go through the door on your left, go down, and through the door on the right and down again. 
Then just keep going down, until you will find the door that lets you out of the train. It�ll be on the right. 
Leave the train. 

Run left and keep going, until you come to a door. Go through and watch the short scene. 
Cynthia is gone now. Go through the hole to replenish your health if you want, then return. 
Climb the ladder and go along, until you come to a fork. 
You can keep going along to find some bullets if you want, but if not just go down the fork and keep going. 
Avoid the ghosts, and run down the stairs and through the door. Kill the dog monsters down here. 
You�ll hear Cynthia�s voice calling out to you down hear. Keep running down and you�ll come to an escalator. 
Climb the escalator and monsters will start attacking you here. 
As soon as they appear be sure to whack them with the steel pipe as their attacks are very powerful and will knock off a lot of health. 
This will be a real pain but just keep going up the escalator as fast as you can while avoiding their attacks. 
Finally you will find yourself at the top behind the turnstile. 
There are various items scattered around here but none that you can pick up. 
Approach the door and get the TEMPTATION PLACARD. Go through the door for a scene.

*THE ROOM. . . . . . . . [03.05]

Take a look out of your window. Then go out and you�ll hear voices. 
Check your door for more scraps of paper and look through the peephole if you want. You can check on Eileen aswell. 
Now go into the kitchen area and open the fridge. Inside is a WINE BOTTLE and CHOCOLATE MILK. 
The only one you need is the chocolate milk, but you can take the wine bottle to use as a weapon if you want. 
Deposit all items except the steel pipe and chocolate milk in the box and go back through the hole.

*FOREST. . . . . . . . . [03.06]

After the quick scene go through the gate. Remember that there is a hole in this next area for you to return to your room. 
Go through the door and kill the buzzing things in this area. Stamp on them when they�re down. 
Get the bullets at the bottom of the ramp and go through to the next area. 
Again, kill more enemies here and go through the door. 
Once outside go through the gate and approach the car to find a memo and a note. 
Read both and then go down through the gate. Go see Jasper and listen to him if you want, then go north and through the gate.
Kill the dogs here and walk past the part where a large object dropped from out of nowhere. 
Keep going north and killing enemies as you go and you�ll reach the site of the Wish House. 
This is a safe area as there are no enemies. Use the hole on the wall.

*THE ROOM. . . . . . . . [03.07]

Look through the peephole. Check on Eileen if you want and look through the window aswell. 
If you didn�t get the chocolate milk before now is the time to take it. Then go back through the hole.

*FOREST. . . . . . . . . [03.08]

Now, run all the way north from where you just came out of your hole and then turn right and go through the gate north of you. 
Ignore the ghost and run past til you find a gate. 
Walk up to the child to trigger a scene. 
After the scene, return to the Wish House area and talk to Jasper on the porch. 
After a while it should become apparent what you need to do. 
Give him the chocolate milk and in return he�ll give you a BLOOD INSCRIBED SPADE. 
Now go through the door on the lower right. 
Kill the dogs or run past them, run through the next area and then you�ll find a tree with hands. 
Use the spade on the tree to get the RUSTED BLOODY KEY. 
Now if you try to go back through the gate you�ll find that the area has gone foggy and that you�re stuck in some sort of time loop. 
Go back to where you found the key and then through the door north of there, to find a hole. 
There�s a 6 IRON here if you want to take it. Enter the hole. 
Leave the key in the box and return. Go back to the site of the Wish House. 
Now once you�re back there go through the whole and bring the key back with you. 
Enter the Wish House with Jasper and go Northwest to find a memo. 
Read it, then a door will be ajar and you�ll hear noises. 
Get the SOURCE PLACARD off the door and then enter the room. 
Watch the scene, and you�ll then go back to your room.

*THE ROOM. . . . . . . . [03.09]

Look through the peephole. Check on Eileen if you want to. 
Look out of the window or whatever you want to do, and save your game. 
Go back through the hole. 

*WATER PRISON. . . . . . [03.10]

Watch the scene and check every room. 
There isn�t really a lot on this level, but there are some bullets for the gun in one of the rooms. 
Once you�re done here go through the double doors in the hall. There�s a hole here for you to use. 
Go through the door on your right and climb down the ladder. There are some double doors down here but you can�t get through.
Use the other ladder that�s here and then go through the door. 
Descend the stairs and examine the sign. It should give you a clue about what to do next. 
Get the key. Return to where the hole is and now you can get through the door on the left by using the key you just obtained.
Before doing anything else however go up to the hole and examine the memo on the wall beside it. 
Go through the hole.

*THE ROOM. . . . . . . . [03.11]

Read the note under the door and return to the prison. 

*WATER PRISON. . . . . . [03.12]

It�s time to go through the door now. 
Once you get outside climb the ladder, then climb the next ladder, then the next and then again until you get to the top floor. 
Enter the doors and go around to turn the handle to open the gate. Leave this area and go down to the third floor. 
Enter the double doors. In this area you�ll find some new enemies, the baby heads. 
I�d advise using the pistol on these things as their attacks are quite powerful. 
Once they�re down check all the rooms because there are some diaries inside them. 
You might even hear footsteps and see a shadow in some rooms. 
Once you�ve checked all the rooms go back to the lower west cell (the one with the hole) and jump down. 
Keep jumping down until you find yourself in a room along with two baby heads. 
Either kill them or run past them and leave through the double doors. 
Go north from here and climb the ladder and you�ll find yourself in �the middle room�. 
If you look through the holes you�ll see the rooms you�ve already visited and the memos you read earlier will start to make sense. 
Read the memo on the desk and then climb the ladder. Read the other document and then go up to the final floor. 
There�s a memo with a number on that you�ll need to use later. 
Turn the handle up here to the right and the man who is trapped in the cell will be freed. 
Go all the way down the ladder and you�ll get a cutscene. 
Return to the third floor and go into the lower east cell and jump down the hole. 
You�ll soon find yourself in the kitchen and you�re meant to punch numbers into a panel here but it�s too dark to see. 
Return to the middle room and head up to the second floor. Turn the handle four times to the right. 
Climb to the third floor and turn the handle right once. Go to the kitchen now and it�ll be light. 
You can punch in the numbers now. Check the secret number memo, which says the numbers are �0302�. 
Punch them in and watch the scene. 
Then you�ll return to your room once again.

*THE ROOM. . . . . . . [03.13]

Check the bathroom to see that your bath is now filled with blood. 
Look through the peephole and then collect the memos from under your door. 
Save your game and check on Eileen. 
Go through the hole.

*BUILDING. . . . . . . [03.14]

Run down and then around the corner. Go down the stair and you will be confronted by a new enemy. These monkeys can be a real pain and there are 
some which are stronger than others (they usually have a red tint to them) but using the pistol or pipe on them should take them right out. 
After this keep running down the stairs and watch the scene at the bottom. 
After about three monkeys will drop from out of nowhere. Either defeat them or run past them and go through the door. 
Run down the hall and in this next room you�ll see someone laying there with a knife in their stomach. Pull it out. 
This is the SWORD OF OBEDIENCE and it is great against ghosts. 
It won�t kill them but it will hold them down so they can�t get up again, giving you time to explore the area. 
You can walk back over to the ghost and pull the sword out of them when you�re ready to leave a room. 
Anyway, you should have also gotten the GHOST KEY by examining the ghost. Use it on the door and go through. 
Run down some stairs here to find a door at the bottom. Next run north and go through the door on your right. 
There are some bullets here if you want to take them, then go through the north door. 
This is some sort of sports shop. There are some weapons to get here, but I�d advise only taking the ALUMINUM BAT. 
There�s a hole in here if you want to return to replenish your health. 
Then take the north door and go down the stairs to the door at the bottom. 
You�re in a pet shop now. Kill the dogs and you�ll find the ALBERT SPORTS KEY on one of the shelves. 
Backtrack to the room with the hole and use the key on the locked door. 
Kill the monkeys and go down the stairs. Go east along the walkway and run down right to the bottom to enter the elevator. 
Watch the scene. Go through the south door for some bullets. 
Go back into the elevator and choose to go up to the top floor. 
Take the north door out of the elevator and run down the hall past the ghosts. 
At the end of the hall you�ll find a SPADE and SWORD OF OBEDIENCE. 
Backtrack to the elevator and this time go to the bottom floor. Go down the north ladder. 

Grab the nutrition drink by the pillar and then run West down the hall and up the ladder. 
Avoid the crazy monkeys and the dog monsters and just keep running all the way down the alley. 
You�ll eventually reach the next area. There are another bunch of monkeys in here though. 
Run along and go down the stairs and go through the east door at the bottom. Keep going down and you�ll come to three doors. 
The only one you can get through is the south door. Go inside and you�ll find yourself in a bar. 
Get the RUSTY AXE on the bar stool and read the memo on the counter. 
This is a riddle as there is a door in here with numbers. You need to know the right code to get through the door. 
It should be apparent what you have to do. There is a hole in here, go through it. 
Now, once you�re back in your apartment, take a look out the window and do you remember that large sign that�s on the left side as you look out? 
Look there and you�ll see the sign�and the numbers. The last four digits of the phone number is the code to the door. 
Also, if you want to see or rather hear something creepy, dial those numbers into the phone by your bed. It�s not really that creepy but it�s kind of cool. 
Anyway, after this go back through the hole and if you�ve already forgotten, the code is 3750. 
Now, this area is really damn annoying. Just run up all the stairs, and ignore the ghosts �cause chances are they�re not even going to catch up to you anyway, 
unless you stop or slow down that is. Just keep running until you reach the very top. 
Then, voila! You�ve reached the door. Get the CHAOS PLACARD and then enter the room.

*THE ROOM. . . . . .  [03.15]

After the scene, and when you finally gain control again, leave your bedroom and listen to the voices before looking out the window. 
Look through the peephole, check on Eileen, do whatever you gotta do regarding items and then make sure you save your game before going back through the hole.

*APARTMENTS. . . . . . [03.16]

Watch the creepy scene and then go into Room 301. 
Get the RED PAPER off the table and go into the bedroom and get the two keys, the LOCKER KEY #106 and the SUPERINTENDENT�S KEY, off the wall.
Then read the diary and a ghost will appear in the room. Equip the SAINT MEDALLIAN and just run right out of the room. 
Walk up to Room 302 and slip the red paper you found under the door. 
There�s nothing more you can do here now so just run down the hall and through the double doors. 
There�s a man sitting on the stairs. Talk to him if you want, but I would advise against it. 
All he does is babble on and then give you a doll. I wouldn�t take this doll if you�re looking to get a good ending, but if you�re looking for a challenge, 
then you might aswell take it. Anyway, run down the stairs and once you get to the ground floor there�s a locker down there which you have the key to. 
It�s just love letters and nothing else, but you can check it out if you want. Then go through the hole. 
Get the two red papers under the door and do whatever you want, then if you picked up that doll before deposit it as it isn�t needed. 
Anyway, go through the hole again and go through the western doors. 
Find Room 105 which is the first door on the left and use the superintendent�s key. 
Get the red papers, and also next to where you got the papers is the APARTMENT KEYS. 
Take them and read the diary in the bedroom if you want. 

Leave the room and now there�s nothing else for you in this corridor, so run back to the main area where you saw that creepy man at the top of the stairs. 
Go through the eastern doors this time and find Room 102 which is where you need to be now. 
Examine the fridge and get another red paper. Now backtrack to Room 302. 
Notice that the man you met on the stairs Is gone. 
Anyway, when you return to outside your room, slide all the papers you have found under the door. 
Now you need to run into Room 203 to find another torn paper in the bedroom.. and also, surprise surprise, a ghost. Once you have the paper get the hell out of there. 
Go to the western hallway on the second floor and go through the first door on the left. 
There�s a tape here that you don�t really need to listen to but you can if you want. 
Run into Room 207 if you want a new weapon, RICHARD�S REVOLVER. 
There�s not that much ammo for it but take it if you want. 
Put the other torn paper you found under the door of Room 302 once you�ve done all this and use the hole in Room 301 to return to the room. 
Read the papers under the door, all of them, and you should figure it out. 
Run into the bedroom and look on the right side of the bed to get the DOLL KEY. 
Return to the apartments and go to Room 303. 
You�ll hear a scream as you approach. 
Enter the room. 

*THE ROOM. . . . . . . [03.17]

Once the scene ends look out of your window and look inside the hole of Eileen�s bedroom, if you dare. 
Read the papers under your door and also get the SUCCUBUS TALISMAN which will come into play later. 
Now it�s time to get all the placards you already got. Walk into the bathroom and examine the hole. 
Then go into the laundry room and you�ll notice a black stain on the wall. 
Use the talisman you just obtained and then put all the placards into the right indentations. 
Then, the hole will appear. Once this is done you can save your game and look through Eileen�s hole again, also listen to that tape if you got it. 
Now go through the new hole.

*HOSPITAL. . . . . . [03.18]

After that scary cutscene kill the flying things in the hall and then turn right and walk up the hall and you�ll get another scene where Henry finds Eileen�s handbag. 
After the scene ends pick it up. This will serve as a weapon.. but not for you, hint hint. 
Then enter the room northeast from the room you came out of after that cutscene with Walter. 
Get the PAPER CUTTING KNIFE if you want and then go through the other door for a scene. 
Exit through the other door and head into the room south of you. There�s a hole here for you to use to return to your room. 
Go into the room next to this one and get the health drink and then go back to the spot where you found Eileen�s handbag and go through the room to the right.. 
There�s a medical kit in here. Leave and go through the room on the other side for an AMPOULE. 
There are also new enemies in here� the Patient enemies. They will come at you while swinging their weapon but they are quite easy to kill. 
Once you�re done here leave the room and go to the elevator to discover it won�t work, so go through the door beside it which is a stairwell. 
Go up the stairs and through the door. There are Wheel Chair enemies in here but they won�t bother you that much unless you get in their way. 
The first door beside the door you came through is locked and you must find the key. 
All the rooms in this long hallway are unlocked besides the one I just mentioned. 
You should really enter them all because there are quite a few easter eggs to find. 
Eventually you�ll come to a room with a statue in the middle. 
Examine it to get the HOSPITAL ROOM KEY and then a large cage will fall over you. 
Use that key to get out, then exit to the hallway and go back to the room that is locked. 
The key will allow you to get inside.

Here�s Eileen, asleep on the bed. Examine her for a scene. Once the scene ends she will be your new companion. 
This can cause many problems as she is very, very slow, and when I say slow I mean slow. 
She is not like Maria from Silent Hill 2 who you never have to wait for. 
You must always wait for Eileen before going through doors or she�ll be left in that room when you go through the door. 
Fortunately she can�t die, but if she starts to take damage she�ll get possessed and start muttering strange things and talk in weird languages. 
This only happens if she takes enough damage, so be warned; if she starts to have an �episode� you must try to distance yourself from her until it is over or it can cost you some health. 
Eileen�s body will change depending on how possessed she gets. At the start there is no blood, if she gets a little possessed there will be some blood, once she is fully possessed there will be blood allover her body. 
You can heal her with holy candles, and keeping her from getting possessed will most likely get you a good ending. 
You can also equip Eileen with weapons that you can find in some of the worlds so she can attack enemies with you, but she may become possessed so I�d advise that you don�t give her a weapon and just let her tag along
with you or she�ll just get in the way and become possessed.

Anyway, exit the room and two Patients will be outside waiting for you. 
If you want you can equip Eileen with the handbag and let her kick some monster ass with you, don�t worry, she doesn�t really start to show signs of possession until later on. 
It can be quite funny to watch her laying into the monsters. Once the Patients are down go into the elevator to find� another Patient. 
Kill it and try to work the elevator but it won�t work. 
Go out and exit to the stairwell then go back down to the first floor. 
There are more Patients down here so be warned. Go back to the room with the hole and watch the scene. 
Then you�ll wake up in your room to discover that Eileen is not with you. 
Check out the ceiling fan in the living room. It has fallen down, strange. 
Also Henry comments that the air is getting heavier in the room. This will come into play later. 
Also a word of warning: the room no longer replenishes health so you�ll have to get used to finding health drinks and other health items inorder to keep your health up. 
Check under the door to get a SMALL KEY and go over to the bookshelf by the window and get all the red papers beside it. 
Do whatever else you need to do here and then go back through the hole. 
Watch the scene where Eileen talks to Henry about Joseph Schreiber and then go out of the room. 
Go to where the elevator is in the hall and it�ll be open now, go inside and there will be a door in there, use the small key on it. 
Kill the Patients in here, and for a laugh wait until it comes to the top of the staircase before whacking it with the axe or bat, and watch as it falls down the stairs.. burping. 
Kill these monsters and then go down the stairs and through the door. 
Go down the seemingly never-ending staircase and you�ll soon come to a hole which you can use if you want. 
Then continue down the staircase and go through the door.

*SUBWAY 2ND TIME. . . . . . [03.19]

Get the HOLY CANDLE in this area and then go through the door on the right. 
You will recognize this area� yay, it�s the Subway! 
Eh, right, so kill the mad monkeys in the hall and go down the hall and find the ladies bathroom, remember, the one with the hole? 
Go through the hole and this is where things regarding your room start to get difficult. 
Read the HAUNTINGS section of this Walkthrough for more information on this. 
Be careful, these hauntings can take away your health so be warned. 
Get the red paper under the door and also the letter and the TOY KEY. 
Get the LYNCH STREET COIN out of the chest and go through the hole. 
Go back out and with Eileen and keep running up the hall until you come to the area where the turnstiles are. 
You�ll get a cutscene here. Remember Cynthia, the woman who died here? Well, this is her ghost, and it will attack you. 
It�s not really any different from any of the normal ghosts in the way it attacks. 
I�d strongly advise that you use a Sword of Obedience on Cynthia here because she will pursue you further in the Subway world and also in other worlds so if you keep her here she won�t beable to follow you. 
All you have to do is knock her down and then quickly use the sword to pin her down. 
Once you�re done here check the hall up ahead for some items but avoid the monkey men as you do so. 
Return to the turnstile and use the coins to get inside. Head down the stairs and go left through the door to find a RIDING CROP which can be given to Eileen to use as a weapon. 
There�s also a health drink in this room. Exit and keep going down the stairs. 
Go through the door where Cynthia was trapped before with Eileen and if you didn�t use the sword on Cynthia she�ll be on your tail here, so you might wanna pin her down if you get the chance. 
Go through the door north of you as you come in and then up and left. You�ll come across a small box on the seat. Use the key you found under the door to open it. 
You�ll get the FILTHY COIN and as you�ve passed through this world before you should know what to use it on. 
Still, it�s too filthy to use right now so you�ll have to return to your room to use it. 
Exit east and then go south. Enter the southeast car and then go right to get the SAINT MEDALLION. 
Then go back to the east platform. Go through the door at the end of the hall with Eileen and get the HOLY CANDLE. 
There�s also a hole here for you to use. Go through it.
You�ll be back in your room again. There may be more hauntings now but again read the HAUNTINGS section on how to get rid of them. 
Anyway, go to the kitchen and use the filthy coin that you obtained in the sink to clean it. 
Now you can use it on that 1$ vending machine in the Subway. 
Go out of the door and find the 1$ vending machine and use the coin to get the MURDER SCENE KEY. 
Then go back and use the stairs but Eileen can�t follow you as her arm is broken. 
Go along and down the fork, avoiding the ghosts, and down the stairs and through the door. 
Run down and kill the dog enemies and you�ll come to the escalator. Like before, kill the Wall Men as you go up the escalator. 
When you get to the top, use the murder scene key on the door to the room where you found Cynthia the last time you were here, and you�ll find the TRAIN HANDLE. 
Go back out and get CYNTHIA�S COMMUTER TICKET. You can use it instead of the Lynch Street coin, though both work just as well. 
Go through the turnstile and then through the one opposite you and go down the stairs, then the next set of stairs, and get back to Eileen in the room with the hole. 
Go back up the stairs to the turnstile with Eileen, and then pass through the one opposite, and go down the escalator. 
Then go along and you�ll come to a train. Go inside the open cart and all the way to the top and you�ll notice the handle is missing here. 
Use the handle you got before and then the cart will move forward once. 
Go down and you�ll notice a doorway that wasn�t there before. 
Go down and get the sword of obedience and then go through the door.

A scene will play; this is Walter, the guy in the coat, and he will try to attack you from now on, so be careful. 
Walter attacks with a gun and chainsaw most of the time and his attacks deal a lot of damage. 
You will encounter him in the next few worlds. 
You can attack him and when it seems that he�s down he isn�t, he just gets up again after you leave, so don�t bother and don�t waste energy and bullets trying to kill him �cause there ain�t no point. 
You needn�t bother with him now, just go right through the door and he won�t follow you. 
Head down the spiral staircase and there�s a hole here just like before. 
You can drop off unnecessary items in your room if you like. 
Then go all the way down the staircase and through the door.

*FOREST 2ND TIME. . . . . . [03.20]

In this area Eileen can read some of the weird writing on the tombstones, or she can when she gets possessed. 
You can still give it a try though, because most of the stuff is all about Walter�s past. 
Next to the candle in the corner near the double doors you�ll find a TORCH on the ground. 
When you do this, it is likely that you�ll hear the sound of the door opening and closing and then you�ll come face to face with Walter, who is not afraid to shoot you. 
Just light your torch and get the hell out of there as fast as you can. 
Just ahead of you is a well and you can use the torch to get what is inside it. 
Get the DOLLS HEAD from here and then keep going down the path with Eileen until you come to the site of the Wish House.. or what used to be the Wish House, anyway. 
Well this place is safe so Walter can�t get to you here. The Wish House appears to have been burnt down. Go up the plank and you�ll notice something black and charred sitting in the wheelchair. It appears to be a dummy of some sort. Use the dolls head on it. Get the holy candle here and too. What you must do regarding the dummy is gather all of the body parts and bring them back here. You can light your torch and use it on the wells in this world to find all the parts. Near the southeast door is a CHAIN which Eileen can use as a weapon. Use the hole in the wall and go through it. 

Read all the papers under your door and go into the laundry room. 
Use the kerosene on your torch and then go through the hole again. 
Now once you�re back I suggest you leave Eileen in the Wish House area because she�ll only slow you down and Walter is on your tail, so.. yeah. 
If you want to bring her along that�s fine, but I advise that you don�t. 
Run around the area and then just leave her behind when you go through the door. 
Okay, go through the southeast door and keep going to the next area. In the next area you�ll find a SILVER BULLET. 
Go to the next area and there�s a candle here and also a well. Get the DOLL�S LEFT LEG and then go back to the Wish House. 
Put it on the dummy. Go northeast now and kill the baby heads in this area. 
Go through the gate and ignore the ghosts, then continue up and into the Toulca Lake area. 
Turn left and you�ll get a cutscene with little Walter. After the cutscene be sure to get the CRESTED MEDALLION. 
Now light your torch and pass through the next area and then into the area where you fought the baby heads. 
There should be a well here, get the DOLL�S RIGHT LEG. Go back to the Wish House area and you know what to do. 
Now, it�s time to go southwest. Go down and keep going and you�ll soon get a scene of Jasper, who is now a ghost just like Cynthia was in the Subway world. 
There�s not much point in using a sword on this guy, as he�s not really that fast and doesn�t really annoy you much in other worlds. Light your torch in here and backtrack to the last area where a well is, 
get the DOLL�S LEFT ARM. Now go back to the area with Jasper and through the gate, and all the way along, through that building until you come to the area with the hole and also a candle. 
Avoid the monkey men and find the well at the end of the area along with another holy candle. 
Get the DOLL�S RIGHT ARM. Now that you�ve gotten all the parts return to the site of the Wish House and use them all on the dummy, which will then come alive in a cutscene and allow you access to the stairs underneath. 
Use your CRESTED MEDDALLION on the door. Go through the door. 
Yet again is the spiral staircase and another hole. Use it if you wish. 
Then go down and go through the door and into the elevator with Eileen.

*WATER PRISON. . . . . . [03.21]

When the elevator arrives get out and walk outside. As you come down the stairs Walter will be there to greet you. 
Quickly run by him and through the double doors. Run down the long way with Eileen to the third floor. 
Kill the baby heads in here and check out each of the cells. 
Head down to the first floor and go to the northeast cell and jump down the hole. 
Go into the place where you found Andrew and you�ll find his shirt. 
Take it and exit and go through to the Dining Hall. Get the SAINT MEDALLION and the health drink. 
Then go into the hall area where the ladder is that takes you up to the middle room. 
Climb the ladder and head up to the third floor. There�s a weapon here for Eileen if you want to take it. 
Head back up to the area with the hole outside the cell block on the first floor and go through the hole. 
When you�re back check under the door for red slips of paper and then go into the bathroom and soak the shirt in the blood in the bathtub. 
Read the message and then go back through the hole. 
Go out and up the ladder to the second floor (best to leave Eileen on the first floor while you do this) and find the cell which has loads of jars in it. 
Under the bed will be a sword of obedience. Now that you have this, go down to the basement, you should remember where I mean. 
If you don�t, go back to the second floor and through the door opposite to the one you just came through and down until you come to the door. 
Go through it and then you�ll get a scene with the next ghost� it�s Andrew, the guy you encountered here earlier. 
He is a hard ghost to beat because he is constantly moving away from you and floating high up in the air. 
Just whack him and stick the sword in him. You MUST DO THIS or you won�t beable to get the key from him. 
This is the WATER PRISON GENERATOR ROOM KEY. Also take the sword because you�ll need to use it again in a short while. 
Now go back and get Eileen and bring her down here, then go through the door which was locked before using the key you just got from Andrew. 
Beware, there are about six baby heads in this large area but don�t bother trying to take them out, just run as fast as you can down towards the door. 
Make sure Eileen doesn�t have a weapon equipped here or she�ll just stand around trying to slay the damn things. 
Once Eileen is near enough to the door quickly go through. 
As always go down the spiral staircase, use the hole if you need to, and then go through the door right at the bottom.

*BUILDING. . . . . . [03.22]
 
It�s Richard! Yay! 
Oh dear, he�s become a ghost just like the others. 
Using the sword you just used on Andrew, pin Richard down because believe me, he is a very tricky ghost and sometimes he will appear out of nowhere even if it seems like you�re in a safe area. 
He is the only ghost in the game who can actually walk, and he has the ability to teleport himself behind you so he can attack you. 
Pinning him here will save you a lot of trouble and frustration. 
After dealing with Richard get the memo off the ground. 
Read it and you should realise that it is a puzzle. There are things you must find  in this area to progress further which are part of the puzzle. 
Go North with Eileen and enter the elevator. 
Go down to B12 and get the HOLY CANDLE, then go back inside the elevator and down the ladder. 
This may seem like a familiar place to you. Kill the long slimy things down the hall and pick up the BILLIARD BALL at the end of the narrow hall. 
Go up the ladder and then all the way along for a scene. Afterwards, Cynthia will appear if you didn�t use the sword on her earlier. 
Go South to the next area and then run over to the boxes and get the VOLLEYBALL. 
Get the SAINT MEDALLION near the railing aswell. Go into the green door and down the stairs. 
Avoid the Wheel Chairs and quickly run to the door. Before going down the staircase go along to find another HOLY CANDLE. 
Then proceed down the stairs and through the South door.

You�ll find yourself in the bar which you probably recognize from the last time you were here. 
Place the ball you got earlier onto the table and go to the counter to find a memo. 
The code has changed since last time and this time you won�t beable to look out the window to figure out what the code is. 
For now leave this area through the door you came in and go all the way back to the area just before the Wheel Chairs. 
Run past the ghost area to the ladder and back to the shower area. 
Return to Eileen in the elevator, then ride up to the top floor. 
Go north through the doors and find a HOLY CANDLE plus some REVOLVER BULLETS. 
Ignore the monkeys and go back to the elevator and through the south doors. 
Move west and get the NUTRITION DRINK. Kill the dogs and go up the stairs all the way to the top and go through the door. 
Get the CAKE CANDLES in here and there are some weapons in here but they break easily so best not bother with them. 
Put the VOLLEYBALL you got earlier in the basket with the other volleyballs and go through the south door. 
There�s a HOLY CANDLE on the shelf here. Then go through the next door and then through the one on the other side. 
Avoid that ghost and take the STUFFED CAT by the door. Also place the cake candles in the cake on the table. 
Backtrack to the place with the volleyballs and go through the north door and down the stairs to the pet store. 
There are quite a few ghosts in here, including Cynthia again if you didn�t deal with her earlier. 
Notice the cage on the counter, place the stuffed cat you got inside and you�ll hear a clock chiming. 
Go into the northwest door and read the article on the ground. 
Go down the stairs and through the door at the bottom. Kill the buzzing things. 
The room is upside down sort of, only unlike before if you found this room the last time you were here, you were upside down. 
Go through the clock door. Descend the staircase and go through the East door right at the bottom. 
Kill the monkey men and dog enemy. Move south and through the south door. 
Descend these stairs and go through the door that was once locked. 
Move down the path avoiding ghosts and through the door to the Wheel Chair area. 
Go down and through the door at the bottom, then down to the bar again. 

Now this is where you must enter the hole and go back to figure out the memo puzzle. 
Go through the hole and examine the phone. 
Dial the old number, look out the window if you forgot it, and listen to the last four digits of the new number. 
Apparently they changed the number to prevent all the weird monster sounds, but if you try to call the new number, the same thing happens again. 
They never win, do they? 
Anyway, return to the bar and enter the new number, 4890, into the keypad and go through the door. 
Start down the stairs and grab the PORTABLE MEDICAL KIT by the door, for you might need it in a moment, and go through the door. 

BOSS FIGHT: THE ONE TRUTH

You will enter a large area filled with large wall men. 
There are quite a few in here, about eleven or twelve in total, and you must figure out which is the real one. 
To do this, simply start whacking the first one you�re nearest to while avoiding their attacks, and if when you hit them the other wall men don�t get hurt by it, 
then that wall man you just attacked is not �The One Truth�. 
To figure this out you must just go around hitting the wall men until you hit one and they ALL feel the pain of your attack. 
When this happens you must keep hitting that wall man until they all go down. 
Killing the wall man is easy, it�s just figuring out which one is the real one that may take some time. 
Remember, the Wall Men hit out at you with their claws which deals a lot of damage. 
Better hope that you stocked up on health items before this battle. 
Anyway, once you�ve figured it out and beaten the enemy, the door at the end will unlock and you�ll be allowed to go through.

NEVER-ENDING STAIRCASE

Now you�re on that damn staircase again. 
Go all the way down with Eileen, until you come to a door.. wait.. isn�t this Henry�s room? 
Look around the area before going inside.

*THE ROOM OF THE PAST. . . . . . [03.23]

Examine the table in the living room and pick up the CRIMSON TOME and OLD PICTURE BOOK along with some memos. 
Go into the bedroom and read all the red papers in there. 
Leave this room and go back down the hall for a creepy scene with Joseph Schreiber. Take the PICKAXE OF HOPE. 
By the way, if you want a good ending, now would be the good time to heal Eileen if she�s possessed. 
Enter the hole in the bathroom if you haven�t got many candles, around two or three should do the trick. 
Now come back and exit the room of the past outside. 
Now.. place about two or three candles beside Eileen, and watch as she is freed of the possession. 
You�ll also need to try to get rid of the remaining hauntings in your actual apartment, if you want a good ending that is. 
Anyway, once all this is done, and you�re back in your actual room, use the pickaxe on the wall where you found it in the room of the past, 
only you�re in your room now, so it might just work. 
Sure enough, the wall breaks down to reveal a hole. 
Go inside for one of the creepiest scenes in the game. Don�t be afraid to approach Walter by the way. 
Get the KEYS OF LIBERATION from his coat pocket. Go back through the hole in the wall. 
I strongly advise that you save your game now. 
With these keys, you can now leave your room. Exciting stuff, huh? 
Anyway, use the keys on the door and watch the scene. 
Freedom at last, yes? 
Not quite. 

*OUTSIDE THE ROOM. . . . . . [03.24]

After Eileen rejoins you, head into Room 301 and take out the baby heads. 
Also kill the new enemies, which look just like baby heads only without the heads. 
You can probably hear sobbing in this room. 
Go down the stairs into Room 201 and get the health drink in one of the cages. Then exit to the hallway. 
Go into Room 202 and grab the SWORD OF OBEDIENCE on the floor. 
Enter the hole through the Room 203 and say hello to Cynthia if you didn�t take care of her in the Building world. 
Exit to the hall and go into Room 204 and get the NUTRITION DRINK in the kitchen while avoiding Walter. 
Leave and enter the west stairwell. Patients will be on you in seconds but just beat them down with the axe. 
There are bullets by the steps but you can�t go down the stairs as they are blocked off. 
Go through the door on the third floor and go in Room 304 for a health drink and go into Room 303 for revolver bullets and a Patient. 
Head out and through the western doors and go into Room 206. 
�Kill� Walter, or atleast knock him unconscious, and search the room to find a HOLY CANDLE in the bedroom. 
Go through the hole in the wall into Room 207. If you didn�t kill him before, Richard is in here. 
There�s some bullets in here too. Exit through the front door and go down the stairs and enter the lobby. 
Eileen will walk to the centre of the room and will not move, hinting at her possession. 
Look at the sketchbook on the floor where she is standing and then enter the East corridor.

Move up the corridor and you�ll see a body in the air. 
Going up to it will make it disappear and you�ll hear angry voices of a man presumably Walter�s father. 
Go into every single room in this corridor and look for more of the hanging men, there are six in total. 
Listen to the voices and once you have done this, return to the lobby where Eileen will snap out of her daze and rejoin you.
Backtrack to the place you were in before you entered the lobby and go to Room 105. 
Look on the shelf and examine the box for a scene. Eileen runs away. 
You will then obtain the UMBILICAL CORD. 
Leave the room and watch the scene in the corridor. 
Go up the stairs and return to Room 207, through the hole, exit into the hall. 
Kill the enemies out in the hall and exit to the stairwell. Go through the opposite stairwell and into the next corridor. 
Go into Room 203 and into the hole to get to Room 202. Then go out and enter Room 201 and up the stairs to Room 301 and out into the hall. 
Exit to the third floor corridor from here. Don�t bother fighting the enemies and just enter your room.

Go into the laundry room and read Joseph�s letter. 
Go through the hole in the wall to see that the Walter corpse is now gone. 
There�s some sort of hole thing on the ground that you can go into, but not right now. 
Go back to the living area and now is the time to make sure your room is free of hauntings if you didn�t before. 
Deposit any items you won�t need to make space in your inventory, but take the umbilical cord and obviously a weapon, also the Pickaxe of Despair. 
Plus some health items just incase. 

Once you�re done with all that, save your game and then go back through the hole in the wall. 
Enter the depression.

You�ll find yourself in a large, red room. With a large hole in the floor. 
You can look around if you want but then just jump down the hole. 
It�s almost time for the final boss.

*RITUAL AREA . . . . . . [03.25]

BOSS FIGHT: WALTER SULLIVAN

This is it. The end of the game. 
Well, not quite yet, since this is the Final Boss and you have to fight him. 
After the awesome cutscene, you should pause the game while I explain what it is you have to do.

Okay, this large monster sticking out of the wall must be dealt with before you can attack Walter. 
There are eight spears placed on either sides of the monster, but you can�t use them yet. 
Also notice that Walter is see through. 
Another thing, Eileen is here and she is walking up to a machine that will kill her if she reaches it. 
Depending on how possessed she was before running off depends on how fast she will walk to the machine. 
If she was fully possessed, she�ll walk too fast for you to save her, so don�t bother. 
If she was semi possessed, you might have a shot at saving her. 
If she was not possessed at all, then she will be really slow (much like she is for most of the game, hehe) so you will beable to get all of the spears and beat Walter before she dies. 
Now, run up to the monster and use the Umbilical cord. Something happens and it means you can now attack the monster with the spears. 
Take each of the spears and use them to stab the monster. Try to avoid attacks from Walter while doing so. 
Once you�ve stabbed the monster with all eight spears, Walter will no longer be see through which means you can kill him. 
I advise using the revolver or handgun but if you have neither with you just use the axe or whatever melee weapon you have with you. 
Be careful, though. 
Eventually, Walter will fall.

Watch the scene and then the next scene will be your ending. 
Check the ENDINGS part of this walkthrough for info on what endings there are.

*HAUNTINGS. . . . . . [05]

This game requires a lot of time and patience as you must constantly keep backtracking to your room inorder to deposit items and also find out more about why you are here in the first place. 
At the start of the game the room looks like any ordinary room, and you ask yourself what�s wrong with it? 
However, as time goes on, you will start to notice that the room itself is changing. 
As you continue to explore the various worlds, the room will start to deteriate very slowly. 
By the time you start revisiting the worlds it will start to damage you. 
Why is it damaging you, you might be wondering? 
There are things called hauntings in your room which can seriously hurt you if you don�t stay out of their way. 
Thankfully you can easily rid yourself of these things but you�ll need a supply of HOLY CANDLES and SAINT MEDALLIONS inorder to do so. 
It is easy to tell when there is a haunting in your room, and I will now list the different types of hauntings you can get just so you know what and where abouts they are.

Cracks In Wall Haunting
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 

This haunting makes it so cracks will appear on the walls of your bedroom and living room. 
If you go near them they start to pulsate and move around and damage you. 
It is easy to get rid of them but the problem is they always keep coming back. 
Still, you can either used a SAINT MEDALLION or put a HOLY CANDLE on the table below it and it will go away. 
Don�t keep wasting your candles though, because this one will reappear a lot. 

Blood In Sink Haunting
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Blood will start to run like water from the taps of your sink in the kitchen. 
Use a Holy Candle to get rid of this. Put it on the floor and the haunting will disappear.

Cat In Fridge Haunting
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
One of the freakiest hauntings for me. 
Remember there was a dead cat in the fridge in the apartment world? 
Well it�s here now, in YOUR fridge. 
You�ll hear meowing coming from near the fridge if this haunting is there. 
Put a candle on the floor next to the fridge to make it go away.

Henry Haunting
- - - - - - - - - - - 
There will be blood coming down the peephole if this haunting is around. 
Look through the peephole and you�ll see yourself, or Henry, standing outside drenched in blood. 
Put a candle near the door and the best thing about doing this is that if you do, it is likely that most if not all the hauntings in the room at the time will disappear. 
Well maybe anyway, it happened to me, but just try it and see. 
I apologize if I�m wrong.

Small Child Haunting

Little Walter�s shadow will begin to appear in your bedroom closet. 
Put a candle down on the floor infront of the closet and the haunting will disappear.

Ghost In The Wall Haunting

There�s a ghost in your wall! 
It never actually comes out, but it stays in the wall so I�d advise getting rid of it straight away. 
They emerge in all rooms but most likely it�ll be the living room where they first appear, like in Henry�s dream remember? 
Put a candle on the floor infront of the ghost and the haunting will go away.

Doll Haunting

You�ll start to hear the sounds of crying and there will be a load of dolls on the wall above your chest. 
Only appears if you took the doll from Walter. Use the holy candle to be rid of it.

Possessed Windows Haunting
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Your windows will start to shake and open and close. 
Go near them and place a candle there, and the haunting will disappear.

Possessed Slippers Haunting
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Your slippers are on the move! 
Put a candle on the floor in the kitchen to be rid of this haunting.

Walter Portrait Haunting
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
One of the pictures in your room will change to a picture of Walter. 
Put a Holy Candle on the dresser to be rid of it.

Ticking Clock Haunting
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The clock in your room will tick loud and fast. 
Put a candle on the chair beside the clock to get rid of the haunting.

Telephone Haunting
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The phone beside your bed will constantly ring. 
Place a candle beside the phone to make the haunting disappear.

Television Haunting
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - 
The television will not turn off and will constantly blare in your living room sometimes showing pictures for a few seconds. 
Place a candle on the floor infront of the TV to be rid of this haunting.

Possessed Chair Haunting
- - - - - - - - - - -  - - - - - - -
The chair in your living room will become possessed but won�t show any signs of being possessed. 
Put the candle on the table beside it to make it disappear.

Okay, this is probably the hardest Silent Hill game regarding endings.
It is difficult to get the ending you really want, and on your first play you will probably
end up getting the worst ending, I know I did. Even so, if you want to get a certain ending
check here on what to do to inorder to get it.

ESCAPE ENDING
- - - - - - -
Best ending of the game. Henry and Eileen both survive. 
Afterwards Henry visits Eileen in hospital and Eileen says that she'll
have to find a new place to live now. Henry nods. 

Inorder to get this ending, you must clear atleast 80% of the hauntings in your apartment.
Also, you must make sure Eileen is not possessed before she runs away from you outside the room. 

MOTHER ENDING
- - - - - - -
Second best ending of the game. Henry and Eileen both survive.
Afterwards Henry visits Eileen in hospital and Eileen says that she'll
get to go back to South Ashfield Heights now which is a stupid idea if you ask me.

Hauntings are basically irrelevent with this ending. 
To get this ending, you must make sure that Eileen is not possessed when she runs
away from you. Heal her and only heal some hauntings in your apartment.

EILEEN'S DEATH ENDING
- - - - - - - - - - -
The 'average' ending of the game. Henry survives but Eileen does not.
After the game ends, Henry is back in his apartment listening to a
broadcast on the radio about Eileen. The game then ends. 

To get this ending you must concentrate fully on the hauntings in your apartment.
Eileen doesn't really matter as heartless as that sounds. 

21 SACRAMENTS ENDING
- - - - - - - - - - -
The worst ending of the game. Henry and Eileen both perish. 
After defeating Walter (or so it seems) Henry experiences a very
bad headache and then stands back up again. Then we cut to Henry's apartment,
where Little Walter and the real Walter are, and Little Walter is saying
how he will never leave his 'mother' again. The broadcast confirms that both
Henry and Eileen died. As strange as it might sound, this is actually the
most interesting ending of the game, but still the worst.
