So I decided to explore every possible method for killing the targets in each mission. =============================================================================== Assumptions and Spoiler Alert =============================================================================== I will not go into every detail. I will assume that you have played the game to the end at least once and that you have a good working knowledge of the layouts of each level as well as how to get into the proper disguise to carry out some of these kills. A lot of these methods require that you sedate or knock-out potential witnesses prior to carrying out the kill and I did not list every witness that you'll have to take care of. You'll have to experiment and see for yourself. I also did not explore alternate methods for A Death of a Showman and for Requiem. As the first is a training mission and the last is a free-for-all. =============================================================================== Rules =============================================================================== All of the methods I used followed the rules listed below and all were completed on expert level. In some cases, I explored methods of killing the target that broke a rule, but each of these exceptions are noted and do not officially count for the purposes of this guide. 1. You can't be caught in the act - no witnesses. Bodies being discovered is OK. Sedating or knocking-out potential witnesses is OK. 2. You can only kill your intended targets - no collateral damage. 3. Your rating for the mission does not matter as long as you meet Rules 1 & 2. 4. Sniper Rifle kills must be done from a distance. You can�t be in the same room as the victim or just outside an open door. Just outside a window is OK. 5. Close Combat Kills consist of a death caused by wiring, poison injection, shooting, stabbing or use of a blunt object like a hammer. For the purposes of this guide, it doesn�t matter whether you use a hammer, a gun or the fiber wire, this type of death will be treated as one type of death. 6. Locations matter. If you can wire the victim in Room A and in Room B that counts two deaths. If you can snipe the victim when he�s on Balcony A and when he�s on Balcony B that counts as two deaths. 7. Angle matters. If you can snipe the victim on Balcony A from Balcony B or from Balcony C that counts as two deaths. 8. Poison kills differ from close combat poison injections. Poisoning involves tampering with food or drink and then having the victim consume it. 9. Explosions only count if the victim dies from the primary blast not by the blast dropping an object like a chandelier on him. 10. Accidents can be staged. For example, you can take the victim hostage, knock them out and throw them over a railing. 11. Complicated kills are OK. Some of kills listed here are less than optimal, something a real hitman would not do. That�s OK. The purpose of this guide is to explore all the possible ways to kill a target. Location: On Stage Type: Close Combat Kill Sedate the actor with the pistol and assume his role. Shoot D'Alvade with the real WWI pistol. Location: Hallway to the North of the stage Type: Sniper Kill Sedate the guard and then snipe D'Alvade on stage from behind the curtain. Location: On Stage Type: Explosion Plant the bomb behind the set on the South side of the stage and blast away when D'Alvade walks by. Make sure you don�t kill the guard. Location: On Stage Type: Explosion Dressed as an executioner actor plant the bomb behind D�Alvade's mark. Let the scene begin, when the other actors move to the front of the stage, quickly run off and blast away. Location: On Stage Type: Sniper kill Snipe Delahunt from the scaffold when he comes to inspect D'Alvade�s body. Location: On Stage Type: Sniper Kill Snipe Delahunt from the lighting booth on the third floor when he runs up to the stage after D'Alvade is killed. Type: Close Combat Wire him in the gym near the table with the towels. Type: Sniper In the sitting room South of the Gym, wait for the other patients to leave the room. Then knock out the guard after you distract him. You should have plenty of time to set up your rifle and snipe him on the weight bench. LOCATION: POOL AREA OUTSIDE OF THE GYM Type: Poisoning Poison DeSalvo�s wine near the South West corner of the pool. Type: Close Combat Shoot DeSalvo with the silenced pistol from behind rock. You must be behind the nurse and wait for the bodyguard to pass DeSalvo. Type: Explosion Plant the bomb near the pool and blast DeSalvo when he�s nearby. You have to knock out the guard that walks with him and stash him because it seems that the guard always finds the bomb. Type: Accident Push DeSalvo into the pool when the bodyguard is not looking. You can distract the guard by placing a bomb. He�ll retrieve it and leave DeSalvo alone. Sometimes this also causes the nurse to leave early. Otherwise you must knock her out and stash her on the terrace. Type: Close Combat Wire DeSalvo by the pool when the bodyguard is not looking. You can distract the guard by placing a bomb. Type: Explosion After luring the FBI agent out of the room by disabling the cable box out front, place the bomb behind Sinistra and blast away when you are out of the blast radius. Type: Close Combat After luring the FBI agent out of the room by disabling the cable box out front, sneak behind Sinistra and wire him. Type: Explosion Plant the bomb near the front window, call Sinistra on the cell phone and blast when he comes to the window. Type: Close Combat Call Sinistra on the cell phone, run over to the window and shoot him with the silenced pistol when he comes to the window. LOCATION: PANIC ROOM (OFF THE LIVING ROOM) ***Emailed to me by Mike Burlison*** Type: Explosion Plant the bomb in the panic room and then cause an alarm like Sinistra finding his wife's body. When he get's to the room, blast away. Just make sure, you don't kill his FBI guard. Type: Close Combat Cause an alarm like Sinistra finding his wife's body. Wait for Sinistra to arrive in the panic room and then wire him. LOCATION: SECOND FLOOR COMPUTER ROOM Type: Explosion Place the bomb in the room and blast away when Sinistra is nearby. Type: Close Combat When Sinistra enters the room, sneak behind and wire him. LOCATION: SECOND FLOOR HALLWAY Type: Accident Push Sinistra down the circular steps. Type: Accident Hostage Sinistra and push him down the straight back steps. Type: Close Combat Sneak behind Sinistra and wire him. Type: Explosion Plant a bomb and blast as Sinistra walks by. LOCATION: INDOOR POOL Type: Accident Hostage Sinistra, walk him to the indoor pool and push him in. LOCATION: OUTDOOR POOL Type: Accident You�re pretty much going to have to knock-out and stash everybody in the house and by the back pool. After you do that hostage Sinistra, walk him to the outdoor pool and push him in. LOCATION: BASEMENT STEPS Type: Accident Hostage Sinistra and push him down the basement steps. **Interesting Death Question� Is it possible to hostage Sinistra and knock him out in the street and somehow get the FBI cars to come and run him over?** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Target: Mrs. Sinistra ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will grant an exception to the �only kill targets� rule, just to see how many ways we can get the microfilm from Mrs. Sinistra. The only rule here is that you must sedate where possible instead of killing and only �accidental� deaths will be considered. LOCATION: GRILL BY THE POOL Type: Accident Get the lighter fluid from the backyard shed or the basement and rig the grill. Mrs. Sinistra will barbecue herself. After she�s out, take the film. Type: Sedation After you knock out all of the FBI and civilian witnesses, you can spike the bottle on the table next to the grill. Type: Sedation Shoot Mrs. Sinistra with the air rifle tranquilizer darts. This is a pain to do without knocking out a lot of witnesses, so they don�t see you with the rifle or revive her before you can get the film. If anyone has a method to do this easier, I�d like to know. LOCATION: INDOOR POOL Type: Accident Push Mrs. Sinistra into the indoor pool when no one�s looking and then take the film. ***Emailed to me by Mike Burlison*** Type: Accident From the Sauna Room, shoot the glass roof of the indoor pool with a silenced gun while Mrs. Sinistra is swimming. The falling glass will kill her. LOCATION: SAUNA ROOM Type: Sedation Injection Sedate Mrs. Sinistra in the room with the Sauna and then stash her in it and then take the film. LOCATION: LIBRARY Type: Sedation Spike the bottle on the table with sedation needle. Put on the clown suit and Mrs. Sinistra will ask you to go into this room. Wait for her to drink and pass -out and then take the film. LOCATION: MASTER BEDROOM Type: Sedation Put on the pool boy suit and find Mrs. Sinistra. She will invite you to the bedroom and pass out shortly thereafter. Then take the film. LOCATION: KITCHEN Type: Sedation Spike the bottle in the kitchen with sedation needle. Wait for Mrs. Sinistra to come in and drink it. After she passes out, take the film. LOCATION: SECOND FLOOR HALLWAY Type: Accident Put on the pool boy suit and follow Mrs. Sinistra to the bedroom, hostage her and push her down the straight back steps. =============================================================================== The Murder of Crows =============================================================================== Target: Mark Purayah, Jr. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LOCATION: PURAYAH�S OFFICE Type: Explosion Place the bomb in the diamond case and blast away. Type: Explosion Place the bomb under his chair. Type: Explosion Place the bomb on the second floor of the bookstore near the sealed �door� to Purayah�s office. Type: Close Combat Sneak behind and wire Purayah. LOCATION: PURAYAH�S BALCONY Type: Accident Sedate Purayah and throw him off the balcony. Either sedate the cop that patrols across the street or make sure he�s not looking when you throw the body over the rail. Type: Explosion Place bomb on balcony and blast when Purayah is nearby. Type: Sniper Climb the drainpipe in the courtyard across the street and snipe Purayah when he comes on to the balcony. Type: Sniper From the alley across the street, ground level, snipe Purayah when he comes on to the balcony. Type: Close Combat Sneak behind and wire Purayah. Type: Sniper From the hotel room across the street, snipe when he opens the balcony door. ** Type: Fire Escape Accident - I was not able to complete - Let me know if you can do it without witnesses.** Sneak behind Kulinsky, take him hostage and walk him towards the fire escape. You have to time this right, otherwise there will be witness. If the alley below is clear, walk him to the edge and push him over.** **Type: Balcony Accident - I was not able to complete - Let me know if you can do it without witnesses.** LOCATION: LATIN FEVER APARTMENT Type: Accident Sedate Kulinsky and throw him over the rail next to the internal stairs. Type: Explosion Place the bomb in the apartment and blast when Kulinsky is nearby. Type: Close Combat Sneak behind and wire Kulinsky. Type: Accident Sneak behind Kulinsky and unlock the door to the fire escape, wait for Kulinsky and then sneak back towards the front door of the apartment. When the time is right, take Kulinsky hostage and walk him towards the fire escape. You have to time this right, otherwise there will be witness. If the alley below is clear, walk him to the edge and push him over. Type: Sniper Go to the apartment across the street from Kulinsky and snipe him. LOCATION: ROCKER�S CHOICE APARTMENT Type: Accident Take Kulinsky hostage and walk to the internal stairs and then push him where the rail should be. When the Sheikh passes you blast the bomb as a diversion to lose the bodyguards. You can then pull the silenced pistol and cap the Sheikh. LOCATION: LOUNGE AREA Type: Close Combat Dressed as Schmutz, hide the silenced pistol in the DNA case and go see the Sheikh. After the cut scene, quickly pull the pistol and cap the Sheikh. Type: Close Combat After creating an explosion as diversion to lure the bodyguards away, you can then sneak behind and wire the Sheikh. After Ketlyn comes off the catwalk and back through the double doors, take her hostage, knock her out and throw her over the rail and into the shark tank. Just after the cut scene and just before the explosion, start pulling the trigger and you can shoot Parchezzi. LOCATION: OFFICE TO THE WEST OF OVAL OFFICE Type: Explosion Plant a bomb in this office and return to the courtyard. When Parchezzi sees you he will run into this office. You can blast him at this point. Type: Explosion Pant the bomb just outside the Oval Office door. Just after the cut scene and just before the explosion, start pressing the detonator and Parchezzi will be blasted as he runs through the door. LOCATION: WEST WING ROOF Type: Explosion Prior to your confrontation with Parchezzi in the Oval Office, plant a bomb near the scaffold on the roof. When he gets near, blast him. Type: Sniper After your confrontation with Parchezzi in the Oval Office, chase him up to the roof, take cover and take out your rifle. Snipe him when he shows himself. Type: Close Combat If you are real quick and can navigate the maze inside the West Wing, you will catch Parchezzi on the roof and you can wire him. LOCATION: WEST WING COURTYARD/OVAL OFFICE Type: Explosion The Vice President will walk out into the courtyard and over to the window at the Oval Office to meet Parchezzi. Type: Sniper From the scaffold outside the open window on the second floor of the main building, snipe the Vice President when he�s in the courtyard. LOCATION: VICE PRESIDENT�S OFFICE Type: Close Combat When the Vice President is on the phone with the First Lady, sneak behind and wire him. Type: Explosion Plant a bomb in the corner of the office. When the Vice President is on the phone with the First Lady, he will walk over there. Then blast him. LOCATION: STAIRS FROM THE MAIN BUILDING TO THE COURTYARD Type: Close Combat There is a marine that patrols this area, so knock him out. When the Vice President is in the corridor, sneak behind and wire him. Type: Explosion There is a marine that patrols this area, so knock him out.
