The classic goal for suburbia

Among all of the annoying glitches I have had to endure so far, there is one that is keeping me from completing the game, from what I can see. In the classic goal for suburbia, the last goal is to land a trick off of the swing. I've done this over and over countless times and it never works. It's the one thing I have left to do. Any advice?

Just stall on it and jump off ASAP. That worked for me.
