Date of Question: Dec 23 2006 | Question ID: 73522 Ok I just got this game and I am really stuck on the gates of moria level. What I want to know is, how do you beat the Wotcher (the tentecally water beast) please help because he just keeps attacking me and I can't defend or anything.

To beat the wotcher you have to block it's tentacle attack which will make the tentacle stay but not attack you, then just cut off the tentacle that you blocked which will cause the head to come out of the water.then just shot it with an arrow. If multiple tentacles attack just block them all and cut off any tentacle you blocked.you will get used to it after a bit off practise and wonder why it took you so long in the first place.

When the tentacle(s) come up and attack you, block it (square button) and the tentacle will stay there stunned for a few seconds. Use any attack on the stunned tentacle and you will chop it off. Then the head of the Wotcher will come up and you just shoot the head with an arrow or axe if you are Gimli. Repeat this a few times and it will be dead.
