How to beat Volgin

How do you beat volgin? I tried CQC & it does not work to kill him. I shot him nothing. Also, why is does sorrow(in the background) hold up a timer going backwards when volgin is talking to you?

When volgin attacks you just dodge then throw him that will give you another chance to attack him with Snake's combo or roll and it will give you the chance to shoot him aswell. If Volgin is about to use his attack where he fires bullets straight at you then you can throw him before he does it. The Sorrow is in the background letting you know how much time you have left before the C3 Snake set in the hanger blows up.

Yes, a good effort to be sure, but CQC does work on Volgin. You have to use your guns, more specifically, your strongest weapons. Wait till he looks like he is about to hit you, or flip a switch that is nearby, while he is doing this you can use this opportunity to attack him. That is what I did. As for the Sorrow, the timer that he is holding up shows how much time is left until the building blows up because of the explosives that Big Boss set.

The Sorrows timer what he holds up is how long you have got left before the C3 explodes.
Shoot Volgin from behind otherwise he can deflect the bullets.
You can trick Volgin by putting on the Raikov mask Volgin will be confused for a short period of time alowing for you to at least punch Volgin.
When you are fighting volgin there are some pipes on the walkway what goes across the place where you are fighting him shoot the pipes and water will pour out (Volgin does not like water).

To beat Colonel Volgin you must use your good machines rifles or your CQC pistols like M1911A1 or MK22 to beat him. First if you are using your pistols throw him down with CQC behind him shoot him on his head and continue beating him like that (repeat if necessary). Second if you are using the machine rifles without the patriot( first time) get trigger happy against him. While if you are on the runway to the next round keep shooting the enemies. If you beat Volgin with the MK22 you get the Cold War Camo(enemies stop firing). On the bridge with any difficulty you are using, make sure you hit the C3 on the right time while EVA tells you to do. 2nd round Facing Volgin inside Shagohod: You get out your RPG-7 to paralize the legs that are moving and shoot the back of the Shagohod repeat several times. 3rd round while you are facing Volgin now, same thing but kill Volgin while he is outside operating the Shagohod using the gun implacements but paralize the legs with ol' RPG. Then it is finish and you can see him be electrified and burned bu the lightning

The best way to beat Volgin is not to use CQC. As soon as you start your battle go to the camouflage menu and go to face and put on the mask. Then hit the start button to take you right back to the battle. Then as soon as it starts up again push R2 and bring up your rifle already having held L1 for the scope and shoot 4 times. In this process Volgin is confused so he won't deflect your shots. Then after all of the play through you face him a second time; notice that his life meter is almost gone. Do a little bit of CQC: But when he goes to the box to get a charge, with his back to you shoot him with the RPG and you will have beat him. After the building blows up you have to destroy the machines legs with the RPG and then shoot where Volgin is sitting in the machine, and thats the end of Volgin.

Well to beat Volgin in one minut you only have to shootthe pipes under ocelot's positions volgin is afraid of water then throw at him a luminecent mushroom he'll start screaming like a lil' girl , this is your change try anyweapon you want ! RPG 7 'll kill in 4 shots
