You need to go and work at the Ranch and befriend Bob. Bob likes sweets so be sure to give him some everyday. As time goes by, after you show that you can take care of the animals at the ranch and befriend Bob, he'll offer you a horse. I've noticed that whenever I first go to the ranch, the first horse I talk to/brush, that is the horse you will end up with...but that could just be me : ]

No bgfl529 your right. The horse you want is the horse you talk to and brush fist everyday. Also Bob likes the jams most (I think blueberry the most). I got a horse in the same season first year.

First you should befriend with the guy who is buff. . . .
You can befriend to him by giving him sweets like cake. . .
And you should always(if you want to have a horse quickly)go to part-time-job and the first horse you always brush first is what horse you will get.
