You have to progress through the camp, find the indians and kill the savages beating the indians up by using your melee weapons, after a while you will find a bow, use that for a while and soon you will get your weapons back.

Youll get them back quite soon. Don't worry about accidently missing them because you have to get them to progress through.

Alright...I never did get those weapons back from holister but I went on to complete the story...is there anyway to get them back now?

When you follow the indians through the tunnel the first indian you come to on the right is already dead. You pick up his bow and right above him is a soldier. I snuck up behind him and executed rather than use the bow and thats when you get your guns back.
