How do you get the apache helicopter?
One of my friends told me to go to the army base, and I went there and explored it but did not find no sign of any helicopter.

The Apache can only be found at the Airbase when you finish 'Keep your friends close'.
This is the final mission in the game. When done you are the main man.
Now first travel to the Police station in Washington Beach.
There you will find the uniform. Now go to Fort Baxter. Do not be the hero over here and start a riot, 'cause they will finish you.
Once through the gate there are two towers, you need to go left (in this tower is the M60 by the way) and in front of you there is a stair the the roof of a building.
Walk up there and go straight on, go right at the end, down a stairway and through the fence.
Now you will already see the Apache on your left.
Now just leave the air above Fort Baxter before starting your hell 'cause the soldiers will fire your *ss out of the sky.
The Apache is NOT BP as many think!
Once you finish at 100% you will have a second Apache on the right Island near the harbor where Cortez his yacht was.
There is a H landing place there (ever wondered wherefor....?). Here your second Apache will be.
It is easier to fly in this one since you won't need the police uniform to get it!

Well man you don't have to get 100% of the game to get the helicopter hunter, just finish the mission keep your friends closed.
At day time go to the army base and you'll see the HUNTER, he got inf. missile and inf. machine gun just take it and enjoy it.

Take some rockets with you, get into a maverick helecopter, and land onto the building in the army base.
Next kill all the army men using the rocket launcher then jump off the building and run to the apache helecopter.
Get in and fly away. Only bad thing is that your wanted level will be high and you can't lower it without using a cheat code or losing the apache.
As long as you beat 'keep your freinds close' you can find it in Fort Baxter or whatever, pal.
Ok, so one way of getting the apache is by getting 100 packages but also you can complete the missions and it will appear.
See thats where I get confused because one guy said you get a tank with 100 packages.

May I just point out that in the left tower of entering the fort.
There is that awesome gun that you get when taking out Haitians in the helicopter with lance.
'Man' that gun is good, its better than the mini gun in some respects but still doesnt fall that far behind in power.
Land on the building over there and look down with your sniper until you will find it.
