To increase gambling skill keep going to the casino and wager a lot of money. But if you want to get more money back, find horseshoes around Las Venturas. They will increase your luck.

I think I stumbled on a cheat, or glitch that helped me win over a 100 million in the horse racing. It had something to do with the end number amount in your cash and the odds, or number of the horse. What I remember was something matched between the last numbers in my cash sequence and the 11-1 or 12-1 horse. But I couldn't for the life of me repeat this trick since. Its been years since I played and just recently downloaded the game for xbox360.
What I think I did was make sure my last number was ether a 2 or a 1 and the horse to best was ether 12 to 1 or 11 to 1. If I had a 2 I would bet on the 12 to 1 or if I had a 1, I would be on 11 to 1.

At one point I won every single race and was so confident that I would bet every penny on the horse until I had reached over 100 million in cash.

To note this was on the PS2, and I'm now trying it on the 360 with no luck. I'm going to see if the horseshows helped. Maybe I forgot that I had collected them.
