I am trying to get to Chiapa the cactuar in Kilika Wood, but I can't get to the treetop, which is where he is. I tried the X and O botton in every single part I could (Referring to the area where the tree goes across the path.) How do I get up there?

You can only finish the cactaur thing in chapter 5. You can get the first 6 in chapter 3...but from chiapa onward it has to be chapter 5. The tree is the same one you would use to sneak over ...literally over...the forest to get to the temple when you fight with ifrit.
