Once you get to the swamp, give the "grape juice" to the Firbit on the log. He'll give you a fishing pole and bait, which you can use to fish out King Mardan in the pond ahead.

After you do what Weevil said, and if you talked to the thing that looks like big foot, he'll tell you to fish in that huge swamp. Take the poison apples he has lying out, and go to the huge swamp. Put one of the apples on the hook and begin to fish. When there is an exclamation point over Max's head, push the button that means hit and he should come up.

If you both meant the bigfoot, it's Master Utan. Now get the poison apples and put them in your fishing pole. Equip the fishing pole first then highlight the poison apple. Select "Put in fishing hook" then start fishing into a big swamp. It should take awhile then King Mardan should appear.

Well, first give the grape juice to the Firbit on the log, then he will give you a fishing pole and bait. Go over to Master Utan past the huge swamp and there will be a cutscene. Master Utan gives you some poison apples (I think) anyway, you should have some anyway... Equip the rod and put the P.A (Poison Aplle) as the bait. Fish in the giant swamp and after 2-5 mins, The Holy One (King Mardan) shoiuld bite. Do the whole fishing reeling in thing and voila you have caught the Holy One. Take his picture, it's a scoop.
