Date of Question: Sep 24 2005 | Question ID: 39133 How do you get past the arena beast in the fourth act? He always kicks me when I block and if I try to get some distance so that I can shoot him, he runs after me and gets me.

Well get dual weild and use critical and get behind and strike quickly ps have alot of potions.

O.k., the arena beast is tough, especially in a solo game. I'd suggest aquiring the Ice Arrows feat and barrage him from a distance, or if you can equip a bone chip rune in a bow and then use your multiple shot feat, this will give you ice arrows that do freezing damage and the multiple shot gives you knockback on your opponent.
Also, the exploding arrow will give you knockback, but if you're a ranger and not a barbarian powerhouse, you need to employ the shoot-and-run technique, it takes awhile, but it works.

You know the stone columns???
Run between those he can not get in them then you run up to his neck and keep on hitting him with your most powerful wepon you have he will hit you everyonece in a while but not that often take like 30 potions just in case thats how I beat him on the first 2 difficulties.
