Why doesn't the lvl 20 cheat work on my game?

You can only use it at the beginning, when you're at level 1, and have no exp. Points. Enter it during gameplay, and it will put you at level 20, give you 75,000 gold, and 999 skill points.

The level 20 cheat I believe you are refering to is where you use L1, R2, Triangle, and R3 and hold them for 1 second. This can be done ONLY 1 time per game session. What does that mean.... I load a game (lvl 50 Barbarian called mule). I use this cheat to bring him from level 50, all points used, to level 20 with 999 skill points, and 75k gold. This cheat will NOT work again untill the game is reset. So when I reset my game I can grab that Barbarian, play him to level 21, then cheat again to bring him to level 20 with 999 skill points, and 75k gold. The bad thing about this are as follows...

1) You do not get any points to add to your stats.
2) Your gold goes to 75,000 no matter what you had before
3) You have to reset the game to do it again.

As far as when you can do this, I've done it at the begining, middle, end, and even a level 50 character. This is what I used to make my mega mules.

Mega mule = Barbarian level 20 with a strength of 105 WITHOUT any items, trinkets, or other bonuses. ENJOY!!!

The obvious answer is that you have the wrong version of the game to do this cheat... I think it is for the North America version.

The second thought is that you are NOT QUITE doing it fast enough. This is my biggest problem...

The last thought is that you have already successfully done this cheat once this game session. If this is the case, then you need to save your game, then RESET the game. This will start a new session which will allow you to do the cheat again, but only one time...

A NOTE TO REMEMBER!!!
This cheat does not care what level you are, what your available skill points are, or how much gold you have... They are ALL changed. You become level 20, with 999 skill points, and 75,000 gold.
