Date of Question: Aug 16 2004 | Question ID: 9210 In the House Of Sacred Ruins, I have found it often difficult to grab ahold of the railings with the Whip Of Alchemy.

You just have to get your timing right. Practice in an area that won't penalize you too much for missing... which I can' recall off the top of my head at the moment.
But as long as your the right distance from the railing/pole your trying to latch on to you should be able to grab it just fine. Practice to figure out what that distance is.

You should go to that training area. It's after you enter the castle form the very begining, you go to the door away from the room teleporter that takes you to places. It takes some skill to latch on
