Welcome Aboard the Flagship!
After a rough career on the inside of Liberty City's bustling street network, Tommy Vercetti seems to have had enough of the life there.
However, crime mogul Sonny Forelli — for whom Tommy Vercetti has long worked — has a new plan to get his evil empire to sprawl. And the target is reasonable.
Welcome to Vice City. As the Shangri-La of the tropics, businesses and seniors alike bask in its ideal location in the tropical sea. However, smart people know full well that where big cities are born, crime is guaranteed to be rampant.
The outlaw ambience of Vice City is exactly why Forelli decided to deploy Vercetti in the area. If you were to stay in Vice City, you would need a good supply of armaments to deter burglars and plunderers.
Under the congressional stewardship of neo-Fascist Alexander Shrub, the crime network — comprised chiefly of drug dealers — has exploded to include normal civilians as well as recent prostitutes and foreign intelligentsia.
Granted, Vice City is hell on the civil layman. It was worse for Vercetti, who, in the aftermath of a criminal political trick, is out on the street in an intramural frenzy. Armed with feudal attorney Ken Rosenberg and the gangland outcasts, Vercetti has resolved to stage the biggest criminal network showdown — against the police, media, even local crimelord Ricardo Díaz — and take over the city himself. But what will happen when the criminal régime is revolutionized? That is in your hands.
As Tommy Vercetti, you are out to do what you can to remedy the losses.
You will tackle a variety of missions in a pursuit of self-recognition, eventually becoming a big name in the network.
Grand Theft Auto Vice City is for people who like a good, solid sense of action in an urban game.
