Ok, man, here's my answer:
There are no possibilities to avoid death to take away your equipment. That's the fun of it. What is in a game if it's too easy to beat? This is for you to start all over, to get a new equipment, as far as you go on the game. I heard there was a way, but I have tried it, a long, long time ago, and it didn't work.

If you don't want to cheat go to the upside down castle and you'll get it all back. But if you want it that quick start a new game and call your name X-X!V''Q
(remember the ''). Then continue on until the next room is death (there to steal from you). Go in and as fast as you can then leave (as SOON as the screen turns black hold left). Now continue left and kill the first wolf. Continue to the next one. Change your equipment so you have a defense of 12 and still have the lapis lazuli equipped. Let the wolf hit you. You should fly far past the room where death steals from you. Cool huh?
P.S. You can't fall off the bridge (or your game will loop), pause or equip anything until you save.
P.S.S. You'll see what I mean by "loop" if you try but then you'll have to start the cheat over

Was reading the questions and here is your anwser.
Go to the room right befor the room where you lose all your stuff.
Let the wolvarine hit you through the door and you will go through the room and into the next then go back to the room and you will have all your weapons.
