I need help with the same thing!!!!!!!!it wont save my game did you figure it out yet???

Vista fix
Uninstall it. It will leave your saved game data and houses in the programsmaxis menu
Reinstall it in your user file under documentsMaxis
Then copy your old saves over the newly installed saves and viola! Perfect fix.
