It's rather easy, to start off, head over to Lumbridge and in the Chicken Coop (not the one with the Sheep Shearer dude) and massacre poor little chickens, pick up their meat, and feathers (you'll need for later most likely) when you have a full load go into the farmhouse and cook them, keep doing this simply because it's how every begginer should cook.

You can also go to Barbarian Village and by the river, fish for Trout/Salmon (if you have the fishing level, 15 I believe) the run into the Longhouse and cook on the fire in there, unless someone is kind enough to light you a fire right there. Then run your trout/salmon to the bank in Edgeville (North) and store 'em, then run back. That's another great way.

If you have 40 fishing and cooking, head over to Karamja, fish for lobsters, then cook 'em using the fire supplied by you, or someone else (best done on busy worlds because of lots of fires).

Ofcourse, those aren't the only ways, there are lots of other ways, just find what works best with you.
