Basically, if it was some ad you saw on a fan site (RuneHQ) for example, the guide costs a fair bit and doesn't really tell you much. And 90% of the time they are scams. If they have a bank picture of their "real" bank, I would bet my life in 99% of the cases that they are actually bank pictures taken from the game Moparscape. Basically, that's a private RuneScape server and are illegal, you can also spawn items on Mopar.

If you want money making tips, simply raise your primary stats (Resource gathering) like fishing, woodcutting, and mining. And gather commonly sold resources. For example; Yews, Uncooked lobsters and swordfish, and coal.

There are some Fan sites that are great to use other than runehq, but don't believe any site saying they have a Cheat for runescape (there is none, and if they are it would be considered a glitch and is against the rules to use)
Also don't go to any site thats selling Runescape Guide, as desert said their not good and you can get better money making tips from real players, this also goes with the sites selling runescape gold/items don't do it. But I can tell you what one guide did say as I did get one at a point in time. It was merchanting Raw Lobbies
What you would do is go to Fally and head to Karamja (thru port sarim) and buy raw lobsters from the players fishing, then you would head back to fally and bank the lobsters, then you had 2 options you could either Sell all the Raw Lobsters you Collected as Note to players for more than what you bought at, or you can trade and have someone cook (now u'd use the Assist option and cook lobsters) and then sell them. Course with the Prices now listed and unfair trading in the game it's a little harder to get Raw Lobsters Cheap. One of another idea was Get to the levels where you can Fish and Cook lobster and go to Karamja, there fish and cook a full load of lobsters then head to the Lesser Demons and Sell the Lobsters for 100g ea (or more) since Lessers drop gold common players there don't mind spending 100g to be able to last a little bit longer in battle.
