At the pet shop incubator, wait there, and despite what the guy says you don't have to wait by the incubator, you can go and do something than return.
I think it takes about an hour to two hours, not quite sure, if you're bored you can go pick flax during this time to go make some cash, or you can do something else, whatever takes your fancy, but it takes a couple of hours max.
