Date of Question: Sep 16 2008 | Question ID: 129569

Yea I'm using a level 16 barbarian with a 16 percent poison resistance sheild. My original stategy was to attack then use a town portal go to akara then fight and continue doing the same thing. I understand that you can't die in town which I why I picke this strategy but I always lose against her. I can't figure out how to get around her poison cloud tht is what usually kills me unless it's her minions

Well... Andariel is quite hard to beat really, my brother died like 3 times with a level 20 barbarien with armor (chain mail, gloves, boots, helm, and belt), rings, and amulets that all had poison resist. You may want to open open a portal next to the entrance to catacombs level 5, then go through it when you die, and open a new one then get your body and get everything set back up. The best Character type for killing andariel I think is a necromancer with high levels in the summoning area (or a druid with with good summoning levels if you get the exp pack), because the catacombs level 5 is littered with monsters so you can just summon a golem, mages, and skeletons, open the door to andariel, and step back, when they die just resummon them. It would still be a good idea to open a portal and have poison resist at a high though because andariel will most likely ignore your minions and try to get to you. Hope I helped some. Also do a lot of catacomb runs before you enter andariel's room to level up.

Just equipped yourself w/ 100% poison length reduction (4 different items w/ 25% poison length reduction would make it 100%) ... Surely you wouldn't have a hard time defeating andariel... You may not even need a potion... ^^
