I'm on the level where you've got to take back washington (based around the Pentagon) (first level with prism towers)
 Soviets have released terror drones right as I was about to send out a convoy to set up a second base
 The convoy has several IFVs, rhinos (or is that grizzlys?) an amphibious transport containing an MCV and 6 GIs and an MCV on it's own
 To get to my second base i've got to go up the left side of the map across the bridge and down past the red soviet base
 I'm thinking of including a mass of rocketeers to draw the flak fire off the convoy, and i'm also thinking that if a tank gets a terror drone in it, i'll order it to stop and attack the surrounding enemies
 But i'm expecting some pretty heavy fire and a lot of terror drones so what should I add to the convoy to either distract the drones or destroy them before they can do much damage?

If you want to build a base try to get a few spys and send them into enemy barracks and ore refinerys.This wil get you money and every GI and rocketeer and some others you make will go to vetran level.Then take your mcv put it in an amphibious transport and make GIs and IFVs just to destract the terror drones.If your base is where I think it is than just go to the right of the pentagon and up the bridge.Then deploy your base and all of your GIs (Id make about 20-30).send up a few tanks soon after you build the base.
If any of your tanks get infected by a drone order some troops to force fire on the infected tank( Ctrl+Left click). It will kill the tank but keep the others safe.to save the transport just tell it to stop,make some GIs protect it and make the rest attack any threats.And if you want to keep all your tanks alive without having to shoot them to kill drones put a few engineers into a few ifvs and make them repair the infected tank. It will get rid of all damage and kill the drone safely.

It does sound like a good plan, just make sure you have more and more ready, as they will probably continually attack your new base.
