You don't need what game this question is for, because you are asking it in the Pokemon White Q&A. This means the question is for Pokemon White.
No game is for the Nindendo DS lite. They are for the regular Nintendo DS, and the DS lite is just a newer version.
Use Cut. HM01 is Cut. You get it from Fennel after you beat the first Gym Leader. Interesting note: This is the first game (along with Black) where you can use any HM outside of battle as soon as you start the game. You no longer need to beat certain Gym Leaders to use them. However, you will need to trade for Pokemon who know HMs in order to take advantage of this.

You get cut from fennel after you defeat the striaton gym then you should teach it to an HM slave since it's pretty much useless as a move.
