ANSWERS

 
In Anville Town, there is a man in a house who will give you a random item each day, one of the items is the rare candy. If you save it before talking to him, you could get 999 rare candies in about two and a half years. You can find some just laying around, and you can trade with friends and have them give their Pokemon rare candies. Any combination will do.
This will take a lot of work, I've only ever made it to about 30 or so.

Two and a Half years, man i can't wait that long. Plus it's not everyday that he gives you an item, you have to do the battle train after a couple of times. I just hope on and lose on purpose so that i can get rare candies.

when your in the battle subway and dont feel like going thru each battle you can quick restart by pressing l R start and select all at the same time on ds
