I don't think it hurts your game. I have a Shiny Charizard tha someone hacked and traded me over GTS, and my system seems fine. However, I think a hacked Pokemon's Individual Values are lower than a nonhacked Pokemon's.

Hope this helps!

demonchild1214 answered:

If a hacked Pokemon was corrupt, it wouldn't be able to be traded through GTS. To correct Warrior13, the individual stats of hacked Pokemon vary, as edittting systems such as pokesav can alter the stats of Pokemon.

Thank You guys, for all your answers, but I have one more question:Does this apply to when I trade someone in the Wi-Fi room too?Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Well it depends on the circumstances. If the pokemon was corrupted enough (such as being able to freeze the game) then it wouldn't be able to be traded.
