Pokemon White Questions

Is RNG(Random Number Generator) something that really effects a Pokemon's PID.Why I say this is because I have heard that everytime you press the Continue option at the title screen,a "Seed" is generated and everytime you turn your game off and later turn it on whenever,and press continue to start play again a different seed is produced and it is completely different from the last or next "seed", and supposedly seeds determine how many eggs you have to hatch until you get a shiny,or how many encounters until you come across to get a shiny,the seed even determines the IVs of Pokemon(so I heard).Now what I am trying to get at is;when doing masuda method is the egg really determined on a so called "Seed" or is it still simply: 1/1366 random chance of getting a shiny regardless of a certain seed or turning your game off.Someone said on some forum that the 1/1366 chances of getting a shiny egg is prepostrous and the only thing that determines any egg being shiny is the seeds created by the random number generator(RNG).He also said an example that you can be hatching eggs for a shiny and only have to hatch 58 more eggs to get a a shiny,but then you turn it off and then obviously a different seed is produced and this time you have to hatch 1,000 eggs to get a shiny.(everytime a seed is created it's data is different from any other)My main question is that is the RNG theory correct;that if you turn off your game it will be different everytime,and seeds are real?I sadly have been turning my game off :(.Also I was wondering if I should follow the theory and leave my DS in sleep mode instead of turning it off.Or just turn it off and hatch eggs at my own pace?I am very sorry if this question has confused you.Thank You for taking your time to read this question,I appreciate it very much.

I don't think turning the game on and off should have an affect. After all it's Trainer ID and Secret ID that determines if a Pokemon is going to be shiny. I really don't know much about Random Number Generator though. As for keeping your game on I don't think it'll make any difference. I've heard of people keeping their DS on for three or more days without any luck. So seems to me it's just best to do things at your own pace. I can tell you this much for sure, your chances of hatching a shiny Pokemon with the Masuda method for the are always the same. It just seems to have increased your chances of getting a shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Black and White.

Theres an internal marker on each Pokemon which identifies their home location. As soon as the game recognizes the two Pokemon in the daycare having two home locations your odds of getting a shiny Pokemon go up. This was put into the games by the programmers so it would be easier to get a shiny Pokemon.

The normal chance of getting a shiny Pokemon is about 1/8192. When breeding in the forth Gen using the Masuda method you had 1/2048. The odds increased in Black and White according to a source. With the way some of my friends have been getting Shiny Pokemon through breeding I think it's true. The odds of getting a shiny Pokemon in Gen 5 are 1/1366. I hope this helps.
