How do I find the first gym leader?

Hello, to find the first gym leader(Cilan,Chili,or Cress;depending on what starter you chose)go in the building right of the Pokemon Center in Striaton City then a guy will talk to you and give you a fresh water.Then go forward and you will see 3 switches,on the far left there is a switch with a leaf on it,this switch with a leaf on it stands for "Grass Pokemon".The switch in the middle has a flame on it,the switch with the flame on it stands for "Fire Pokemon".Now the last switch has a raindrop on it this switch with a raindrop on it stands for "Water Pokemon".Ok,first things first:to continue through the obstacles you will notice a flame picture on the curtain similar to the flame switch, but obviously the curtain is not a switch.Now to advance you have to pick the "Pokemon Type" that beats the "Pokemon Type" on the curtain.So to get through to the next part you obviously in this case step on the raindrop switch that stands for "Water Type"Pokemon,because water defeats fire.(Note:Do not step on any other swicth before you step on the water switch)Next you will see the curtain open.And step forward and battle a trainer.(It is a force battle:Meaning you have to battle them no matter what)Once you beat him you will see another set of switches but this time there is a raindrop picture on it which stands for "Water Type"Pokemon.So obviously to advance step on the leaf switch that stands for "Grass Type"Pokemon.Step forward and you will have to participate in yet another forced battle.Once you beat that second forced battle step forward and you will notice...yet again another set of switches,getting tired yet?Hang in there.Now you will notice that the curtain this time is a leaf curtain which stands for..."Grass Pokemon" to advance to the Gym Leader step on the flame switch which stand for "Fire Type"Pokemon.Now just step on forward and you are able to battle the Gym Leader!(make sure to save before you battle him in case you lose you can just turn off your ds if you want and keep on battling until you beat him)Sorry if I have repeated my self a lot in this guide.
