Is it possible to get Pokemon from Emrald, Ruby, or Saphire to White without having to go through Heart Gold or Soul Silver?

I think you may be able to use Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum as well, if you have them. That would be your way around the Soul Silver/Heart Gold games.

You need at least one generation 4 game; Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, SS, or HG.

I don't think so. The only way is through the Heartgold/soulsilver and diamond/platinum/pearl games. Sorry.
