Question for Pokemon Soul Silver
How do you get re-match with gym leaders?
I've read that you can battle gymleaders how many times you want, but nothing happens when I go back and talk to them. I've received all the 16 gym badges.

You need to get each gym leader's phone number and then call them at the appropriate times. You do not need all of the phone numbers, but you will only be able to rematch those whose phone numbers you have.

You cannot rebattle a Gym Leader simply by going to their Gym. You must obtain their Phone Number when they are outside of their Gym. After you do this, you need to call them at the times they tell you. If you call them at the right time, they will rebattle you in the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City.
