Can you go to sinnoh?

No, you can only go to Johto and Kanto in Soulsilver. Not to Sinnoh or Hoenn.

The answer is yes, but only a small section of Sinnoh. During the little Arceus event you trigger when having your Arceus in the first of your party while vising the ruins of alph, you're sent to a small portion of the 4th gen region. Though that's about all you're going to see; not much.

actualy, there is a way to get to a part of the sinnoh region. you need to bring an arceus to the ruins of alph and go to the research facility and show it to the scientists there. once you do that, one of the scientists should show you to a part of the ruins that wasn't there before. then, cynthia the champion of sinnoh should be there. after that, she tells you that you can pick one out of three pokemon, palkia, dialga, or giratina to take with you on your adventures. I forgot to mention that this part of the ruins is in sinnoh.

If you want to go to sinnoh, and the ar code does not work, you pretty much have to get dp or pt. Sorry, but nintendo wants to suk the money from people.

Using an Event Arceus, having it be the first Pokemon in your party, you may go to the Ruins of Alph and the clerk-boss dude will do the rest -- This won't work for just any Arceus though - It has to be an Arceus MADE for that event -- An Arceus, from, say, Mt. Coronet in Diamond Pearl and Platinum would not work, because it does not have the correct credentials, or code. -Though, even after 9 years of Pokemon SoulSilver, I still believe that Sinnoh and Hoenn may be a hidden secret that GameFreak / Nintendo was hoping we'd find, but never did. Keep looking, buddy -- You may get surprised 10 years after the original release of the game - You'd be the first to do it for SoulSilver / Heartgold! ...One way to check if there is an extra region or two, Hoenn or Sinnoh, would be to check File Size -- Check Platinum's .nds file size, and compare it with SoulSilver's .nds size. Example: If Platinum's .nds Size was 120,000,000kb, and SoulSilver's was 300,000,000kb or 400,000,000kb then that would tell you something. Otherwise, maybe Sinnoh is just not meant for us dreamers to find -- Just wait, in 2020, someone's going to be like "I found it!!" and become famous :D
