Question for Animal Crossing: Wild World
I have asked this question before, but I am going to need more specifics. So anyone who answers, please be detailed!!! 
I have been playing AC wild world since it came out and I have YET to see a Tom Nook spotlight item. For those who have seen one, please tell me when you saw it, and where in the store this item was. Is it for an hour only? Less??? I check all times of the day, and have never come across one. Are they upstairs or downstairs? Thanks for anyone who answers!!!

Spotlight items are on random days, and go all of the day. Someimes if you miss one day, that could be the spotlight item day so try to get on your AC:WW every single day, even if it's just for 10 minutes. I am not sure if it is upstairs or downstairs, but I would assume it would be with all of the other furniture on for sale. When you walk into the shop, if it's a spotlight item day, Tom will mention it and it will also be on the notice board. I hope you can eventually find a spotlight item and I hope I helped.

You get a spotlight item any random time like e.g. September 5th 2008?
It can be very expensive and lasts all day(but not if you buy it)!

A spotlight product comes on random days and stays there all day.

Those answers were what I was afraid of since I do play EVERY day, to make sure my favorite peeps don't move. I go into the shop twice a day just to make sure the spotlight items don't show up later. I have NEVER seen a spotlight item. There has never been a note on the board saying "sale day". I'm afraid I have a bug and my friend in Colorado has the same problem.

The spotlight product is completely random, it will say on the notice bord when there is a spotlight product in the shop and I'm sure it is there all day.you have to go to individual items and tom nook will say "this is our spotlight product" hope I helped

The spotlight item stays there all day. Nook will tell you if there is one right when you walk in the door. Also, It is TOTALLY random days when they appear. I've only been playing for 3 months and I've already seen 5 spotlight items. You can get one if you wish on a star at night.

You will not get spotlight items or any kind of sale if you only have 1 character.

I am able to answer my own question now...
I did find out that if you don't create a second character to live in your house, you'll never see sales or spotlight items. I created the second person, and now I get the sales on a regular basis!! YAY!

Spotlights Items are random throught the game and they are located upstairs in nookingtons.
