You know that little red guy that appears at the beach sometimes? I think his name is Rascal or something. When you talk to him you trade him your axe & he'll give you a golden one. I also know how to get a golden shovel. For the golden shovel you have to buy 2 shovels and bury one and wait 24 hrs. Then the next day dig it up and it will be golden.

Actually, trading him a normal shovel doesn't work. Getting the golden axe is a long and complicated process. Here we go.

Step 1) buy a red turnip from Joan, bury it and water it for a week.
Step 2) give your now fully grown red turnip to Wendel, the fat artistic walrus, when he next comes to town. From there he will give you either a turban or a country guitar. You want the turban.
Step 3) wait for Sahara, the carpet camel, to come to town. Give her the turban. She will then give you either a Red Vase or a Massage Chair. You want the Chair.
Step 4) with your newly acquired massage chair at hand, wait for the next community event at your town (like a Bug Off or Christmas), whenever the Mayor is outside. Give him the Massage Chair and he will give you a Scallop Shell. Now, wait for Pascal, the sailor otter, to go on the ledge that sticks out to the ocean in your town. Give him the shell, and in return for it, you get the Golden Axe! <3 Now it does take a long time, it took me 3 weeks, but the axe never breaks (good for themeing your town) and just looks awsome!


Also. Getting the objects you don't need for the axe has it's upsides as well! With the country guitar you can give it to K.K. Slider for his pic! The red vase you give to Redd in exchange for a Safe. You can keep said Safe or give to tom Nook for his pic (ewww.) SO there you have it! Good luck getting the Axe. ;)
