Question for Animal Crossing: Wild World

Help desperatlely needed! Both my kids have ACWW on thier nintendo DS's. Cannot connect to our wireless BT homehub as it is WPA not WEP. Tried changing setting on hub but won't work. Can go into each others towns DS to DS fine but when press Start "party's over" to send back home the game will not save progress and finish. Stays on spinning disc icon and only way to stop it is to switch DS off. This means on of them looses ALL data and has to start again from scratch. They are getting upset and frustrated can anyone help?

I haven't heard of them not saving before. Have they tried going to the gate and saying they want to go home - that may work.
As for the other problem my daughters have the same problem and I asked about this in the shop where one of them got there game and he said it has something to do with the age of the game and also the type of wireless you are trying to connect to as some are not compatible with the game. I recon that is stupid, even tried a friends wireless and still didn't work so have given up on that idea.
