Concerns about connecting with people online for Animal Crossing

Concerns about connecting with people online for Animal Crossing

OK, I really want to get Nookington's, and I have spent the necessary amount of bells there, but I do not know anybody else who owns the game that I can connect with. Therefore, I am going to have to resort to the online connection method.

I am extremely wary of connecting with people I don't know online, so I have a couple of questions I would like answered before I try anything.

1. Can I force the visiting player to leave my town if/when I want them to?
2. Can I remove/block them from visiting my town again if I don't want them to?
3. Is there any way I can stop other people from connecting to my town if they see my code posted online? Or can I change my friend code after the first connection?

Additionally, if you could give me the basics of how to connect with people and what happens once you've connected, that'd be great!

Also, I'm not ready to connect yet, since it will take me a while to hook my DS up to the Internet, so I won't be able to exchange codes with anybody for a while.

Hi, I'll try to help you out.

1.Yes, you can always make the person in your town leave by pressing start and selecting, "Party's Over!" They will immediately be removed from your town.

2.People can only come to your town if you're on their friends list and you're on theirs. They can't EVER come to your town unless this happens.

3.Even if people see your code online, if you don't add them to your friends list, they won't be able to visit your town. It's very safe.

Hope this helped! Smile

Here are my answers to your questions.
1. You could ask them to leave, if they don't, you could press Start then Party's Over, but before you do that, I'd run around the town quickly to check for anything suspicious if I were you.
2. Yes, you can remove them from your Friend Roster. Even if you are on their FR, if they are not on yours they can't come to your town.
3 Same answer as my answer to Question 2. You can't change your friend code.
They must be on your FR, and you must be on theirs to visit eachother's towns.
