You cannot look under rocks, but if you hit it with a shovel, some turn red and give you money.

Yeah looking under rocks isn't possible, but when you hit it with your shovel if you keep doing it you can get up to 8,500 bells out of it. Also, by hitting the rock sometimes a pillbug will come out and then you can catch it with your net.
