Affirmitive. Here is another way to cross breed, plant one white, and yellow flower, then plant 2 red ones in a square like this:

This way, all the flowers are touching each other, so you will get every crossbreeds possible, if you want a ceirtan color,plant two touching each other
Red+White=Pink
Red+Yellow=Orange
Red+Red=Purple(Black if roses)
If you water a whithered black rose with the golden can, it will turn gold the next day

The reason it has question marks is because you haven't got your friend code from Copper yet! You go to the Town gate and talk to Copper and say Friend code! And then he'll ask to connect to Wi-fi-connection. You say yes! And Walla! You got your friend code! To see it again click on the heart and click on the key.
